Determine the finished size you are making and cut the pieces required, then work your way through the instructions. ese two units go together quickly and easily when you follow the instructions. Diamond Rects are a lile tricky, so remember to stitch with the diamond on top and use an accurate ¼” seam. Pay aention to the placement of the side triangles so you have enough fabric where you need it for trimming. Pressing your seams open can help distribute the bulk at the intersection. Here’s a construction tip for the center unit made up of 2 B squares and 2 C four patch units. If you trim the center one more time aſter you stitch them together, you can get an even more accurate result. To do that, you need to make a few changes. First, cut your B squares ¼” larger than stated in the chart. en only trim the first 2 sides of the four patches. Stitch the C four patches to the B squares so that the untrimmed edges will be on the outside of the large unit. Now you can trim the unit with your Four Patch Trimmer one more time before final block assembly. e finished size for the double four patch is the same as the largest finished size measurement of the Diamond Rects unit.
