Area Athletics On Friday, 9 students competed at the Area Athletics in Tamworth. They all participated with great pride and showed fantastic sportsmanship!
A special Congratulations for Haylee Turner who has qualified for the State Carnival in 200m! Haylee will compete on Wednesday 6th & Thursday 7th November in Sydney.
Performing Arts Concert Thank you to all of our families and community members for attending our Queen Performing Arts Concert last Thursday. Our students had a wonderful time showing off their musical abilities. We hope to see you all back next year! WW1 Living History On Wednesday 18th September 2019, students in K-6 will be attending a presentation from a WW1 specialist. It is free of charge and bound to be very interesting for all students. Footy Fever Gala Day
On Tuesday 24th September 2019, our students will be participating in a Footy Fever Gala Day at Jubilee Oval. Permission notes have been sent home, we would like as many students to attend as possible. A gold coin is the entry fee if you would like to hand it in with the permission note and the office will mark it off and hand it to the organiser on the day, if not please send your child with the donation on the day. If you require another note please see the office. The canteen will be offering Try it Tuesday Cheeseburgers $5.00 for students to order for lunch, the canteen will drop them down to the students at the oval. Orders are due by Monday 23rd September as normal.

Science Fair Our annual Science Fair will be held on Friday 27th September (the last day of term). Students can begin to think of and prepare a science fair project to showcase on the day. Parents and community members will be very welcome to join us on this day to explore the wonderful display of science experiments our students conduct. A separate note will be sent home with each child explaining what they need to do.
The Science Fair will commence at 11:00am with lunch to follow at 12:30pm.
The canteen will not be open for normal lunch orders instead the canteen will have a special Science Fair Meal Deal which is attached to the Newsletter. Please note that orders are due back by Tuesday 24th September and no late orders will be accepted, snacks and drinks will still be able to be purchased from the canteen as normal. Assembly - Friday 27th September Due to the Science Fair, our Friday Assembly will be held from 1:00pm following the Science Fair. We would like to see as many families and community members attend our assembly, all are welcome! Cadbury Chocolates Just a friendly reminder to all families who ordered the Cadbury Chocolates Fundraiser that the money is due back to school on Monday 23rd September. Please ensure your money is at the office on time. 5kg Box Thank you to all of our families who have purchased tickets in our raffle for the 5kg Box of Cadbury Favourites. Tickets are still for sale at the office, all are welcome to purchase a ticket. Parents can send money in with their child.
Tickets are $2.00 Will be drawn on Friday 27th September at our Assembly.
Sydney Excursion Next week, families will be sent home an information pack for the Sydney Excursion. It will contain a packing list, medical forms, and participation forms for Taronga Zoo and Manly Surf School as well as an invoice with fundraising monies itemised. Please ensure that all forms are returned to school by Week 1 Friday 18th October so the school can finalise the excursion. Reminder: Final payment is due by Friday 1st November (Week3). A detailed itinerary will be handed out at the beginning of Term 4. Uniform Term 4 students can transition to their summer uniform. The school sells all items of the uniform and also sell second hand items in the clothing pool, please see the front office for assistance. The summer uniform is as follows: • Formal Summer Uniform: Mon, Tues, Thurs
Summer Tunic, white socks, black shoes. Blue Short Sleeve shirt, Navy cargo shorts, white/grey socks and black shoes.
• Casual Uniform: Mon, Tues, Thurs Red Shirt, Navy Skort, white socks and black shoes. Red Shirt, Navy Cargo Shorts, white/grey socks and Black shoes.
• Sports Uniform: Wed/Fri Red Shirt, microfibre sports shorts/sport skirt, white socks and any coloured joggers.

P&C and Canteen News The P&C are always seeking volunteers, if you are able to help at all, please contact Amber on 0427434692.
• Canteen News Try it Tuesday - has been cancelled this week! Menu will be transferred to next Tuesday for lunch only as mentioned in the Footy Fever section above. Free Fruit Monday 23rd September. The science fair order forms for recess & lunch are due back to the school by Tuesday 24th September at 3pm, late orders will not be accepted due to catering purposes. The Living Fundraiser is back just in time for Spring! We have honey dew, rockmelon, peas, corn, beans, pumpkin, capsicum, chilli, mint, coriander, and strawberry kits available for $6.00 each, to purchase please contact Helen or Nicole. Thermy or Cash Raffle - we still have tickets available, if you would like to purchase please contact Nicole Rixon on 0427 257 759. P&C are looking for volunteers for the Boggabri Spring Fair being held on Saturday 19th October at 3pm until 7pm. Please return notes to the school by the end of Term 3.
