Now, if I only would have remembered that we put up the banner when I left Liberty Park. Thanks to Jim Thornton we still have a banner. July 2 nd there will be the Eaglewood Festival of Speed. Check out the particulars on the website. I understand that it is a very good show. I will try to make this year, but as of now I may have a conflict like I did the last couple of years. Ken Clifford can attest to how neat of a show it is. At the July 14 th meeting we need to see who is still planning on the Bear Lake Drive. Again that weekend I have a conflict so I won’t be making the trip. I heard questions from members at the BFD about the event. If you want to go show up at the meeting and help with the planning. The Jaguar club has taken over sponsorship of the Classic Sports Car Show in Park City. The date is August 22 nd . Entry forms are available on the BAHC website. July 10 th is the National Collector Car Appreciation Day. I seem to think about the day a little late to plan something special. I also have not heard from other gear heads I know about any event scheduled for that day. Maybe that would be something to work on next year. The island is like being in England in the 1960’s with narrow winding roads with blind turns and stone walls or 5” square curbs immediately adjacent to the road surface. Cars park on the road making the road surface even smaller. The roads have no speed limits unless specifically marked by road signs. I kept thinking how much fun it would be to drive my Sprite there especially if I could drive on the “correct” side of the road. As it was, I was somewhat intimidated using the rental car with the manual transmission on the left side and dealing with all the traffic from the TT. Luckily, public transportation was excellent with regular, efficient busses and trains so we had no problems getting around. I was also struck with how there was no graffiti and litter even during a major event in which the population increases over 50% during a

two week period. The food and local brews were

excellent and the rain even held off during the Race

Week. Overall, an amazing adventure.

Jim Revel and the Wasatch Jaguar Registry have

taken over the organizational responsibility for the

Park City Classic Car Show on August 22nd. They

hope there will be a strong showing of Healeys. Get

you registration into Jim as soon as possible.

”Healeys on Hallowed

Ground” – Enclave 2015

ENCLAVE 2015, is an International Healey meet,

combining the best of two annual events - the

Austin Healey Sports and Touring Club’s (AHS&TC),

Encounter, with the Austin Healey Club of America’s

(AHCA), Conclave. ENCLAVE 2015, “Healeys on

Hallowed Ground” will be held July 19th – 24th in

Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, USA. This is planned to

be the largest Healey meet, in North America, in the

past eight years. We will be taking advantage of the

historical significance of Gettysburg, and

showcasing the Austin Healey marque during five

fun and action packed days. Please find all the

TECH SESSION- June 6, 2015

Attendees included Dave Maxwell, Ernie Reno, Craig

Ward, Craig Lee, Terry Hartt, and Glenn

Schimmelpfennig. Work accomplished was the

repair of a battery box, fitting a tonneau bar, filling a

transmission, replacing a differential seal, and

bleeding the brakes. Additionally, we managed to

finish of a dozen of Darla’s Donuts.

June 9th Minutes

Dave Maxwell called the meeting to order at 7:40 PM. The meeting was held at the Citris Grill. Members in attendance: Jim Thornton, Dave & Sandy Maxwell, Jon Hanson, Doug & Ann Lewis, Ernie Reno, Craig Lee, Joe Morley, Bob Riemenschneider, Myra Strauchen. Membership: Currently there are 45 members. Ted & Judy Hardy rejoined the Bonneville club. The Hardy’s have previously been National members only. The club web site has been updated. Treasurer’s Report: The checking account balance is adequate for club’s needs. Newsletter Editor: Craig Mossberg did not attend the meeting as he was at the TT races on the Isle of Mann. Other Business: The Tech Session on June 6th Resulted in repairs to Ernie Reno’s and Craig Lee’s Healeys, and advice to Terry Hartt. Thanks to Craig Ward for hosting the tech session.

The Tech Session scheduled for July 11th was cancelled.

The Wasatch Mountain Jaguar club will be sponsoring the Classic Sports Car Show in Park City on August 22nd. You should have been e-mailed an entry form. Club members attending the June 9th meeting decided in a member vote to donate the $80.00 deposit. Jim Revel will be the coordinator for the event. Dave Maxwell asked if anyone had ideas for a Christmas Party and possible activities for October and November, members did not give any ideas New Business: There was no new business discussed in the June meeting. Updated Activities for 2015 June: June20: British Field Day-Liberty Park June25-28: Idaho British Car Club Summer Tour. July: July11: Tech Session: no one requested a tech session so it is cancelled. July 14: Meeting at Joe Morley’s. July 18th Salmon Days, Bear Lake Drive CANCELLED. Members had no suggestions for possible replacement activity etc. August: August 1st, Tech Session, topic to be determined prior to the date. August 11th: Monthly meeting at the Citris Grill, 3977 South Wasatch Blvd. August 22nd: Wasatch Mountain Jaguar Club will sponsor the Park City Sports Car Show. September: September 8th: monthly meeting at Joe Morley’s. September 19th, Healey Day with a Shine and Show at Sam’s Club 6200 South State Street 11:00-2:00. Followed by a BBQ at Don and Marion Colman’s. Meeting adjourned at 8:10

24th Annual British Field Day

The 24th Annual British Field Day was held on Saturday, June 20th in Liberty Park in Salt Lake City. As usual, there was a great variety of classic and modern British cars and motorcycles on display. The Bonneville Austin Healey Club was well represented and had our traditional display location at the northeast entrance to the show. BAHC members in attendance included Dave Maxwell, Jon Hanson, Jim Thornton, Keith Mott, Joe Morley, Kevin Cowan, Jim Revel, Allen Brown, Ken Clifford, Craig Lee, Wayne Mortensen, Ann and Marc Henderson, Bill Davis, Don Hughes, Glenn Schimmelpfennig, Dil Strasser, John Progess and Craig Mossberg. My apologies to anyone I may have missed.

Classic Car Show-August 22nd

The Wasatch Mountain Jaguar Registry will assume organizational responsibility for the Park City Classic Car Show to be held on lower Main Street in Park City on Saturday, August 22, 2015. As in the past, the show is primarily for classic European sports car although some newer exotic and classic American vehicles will be allowed. The Bonneville Austin Healey Club has been invited to participate. People’s Choice and various class trophies will be awarded. An entry form is contained in this issue. Classic Car Show-Park City-August 22nd 2015

Application to enter a car in the WMJR Sponsored Park

City Classic Car Show

This application is extended by the WMJR to the following car clubs for their members to apply to enter their Classic Cars in the Park City Classic Car Show on August 22, 2015 from 10am to 3pm. The show will be open to the general public at no cost. The show is primarily focused on Classic and Vintage British and European cars but we also welcome original American examples and newer British and European exotic "supercars". We reserve the right to accept or reject applications consistent with diversity and balance of marques.

People’s Choice, and various Best of Class and Class

runner up trophies will be awarded. Cars must be in

place between 8:30 & 9:30am on lower Main Street.

Awarding of trophies will begin at 2:00pm and all cars

will have to vacate the street or pay to park parallel by

3pm or risk being ticketed or towed as enforced by Park

City.

Invited clubs are: WMJR, Wasatch Mountain Jaguar Register, BAHC, Bonneville Austin Healey Club, BMCU, British Motor Club of Utah, Mountainland 356 Club, IRPCA, Intermountain Region Porsche Club of America, Utah Ferrari Owners Club & the Wasatch Classic Corvette Owners Club. Any club that would be willing to donate $50 to $100 to help WMJR to defray additional expenses for Insurance and Park City charges will be greatly appreciated. Any member or guest that registers that would be willing to volunteer for 1 hour of assigned traffic control time will be greatly appreciated to help us meet Park City’s requirements. We have up to 32 hours of volunteer time that we need to fill so will appreciate your help.

If you care to apply to enter your car or cars please send $20 per car with a separate application for each by 7/15/15. After June 20th non club member classic car owners will be invited to apply, so the sooner you
