WHAT ARE BOX OUT TEXTS• In this PowerPoint I have wrote about my box outs and why I have chosen to create

those box outs, for those who may not know box out texts are boxes which are created around text to create a more eye catching feature to the text, the text being put inside the box can be anything of significance in the magazine for example a pull line, or interesting quote form a article. The overall concept of creating a box out text is to just make text more appealing and attractive. Below I have inserted images that I have found from established magazines box out texts, looking at these we can see that all the box outs contain text about freebies, quote from article or summary of

what's in the next page.

HOW WILL I BE USING THEM• In my magazine I have chosen to use box out texts

in the article pages, this was as I found that when creating these pages that they were just full of text and looked plain. Near the end of my article I am going to be creating a box out text around a tour

dates section this will enhance the aesthetics of the section and make it look more attractive as well as eye catching. I will also be creating another box out

text near the end of my article showing what's in the pages further on in the magazine. On the right I

have added photos of my chosen box out texts. I have made the first one white as its in front of a

black background which will make it more highlighted, the second one of the tour dates I have

out lined with a yellow box, I have done this as it fits my colour scheme and also makes the inner

text more attractive.
