We learnt how to programme InDesign during this session. Firstly I learnt how to insert images and how to make them fit to a frame. To insert an image you select the frame tool in the left tab and then you draw on the frame with the cursor. Next, you go to the button above auto fit and select the button ‘fit proportionately to frame’. I played around with circular frames too in order to practise how to add images and position them correctly. Next I learnt how to add text, to add text you go to the text box button in the left tab, draw the text box and then copy and paste your text into the box.

I learnt how to colour and frame a page. You do this by selecting the frame tool and dragging it along the dimension of page, I then went to windows, colour and then swatches. You are then taken to a screen in which you can play around with different colours to find the one you wish to use. To get a frame, you then go to the top tab and make the border thicker and again you can change the border type and the colour.

I then learnt how to thread text.

Next, I learnt how to re-size text, change the font and position text on the page.
