Summary of Key Responsibilities: • Provide support ongoing development, product release, product formulation stability studies, including experimental design, accelerated quality control testing methods as needed. • Design, execute and analyze studies to develop and qualify test methods, demonstrate technological feasibility and characterize material and assembled device products, employing multiple analytical methods (e.g. FTIR, mechanical hardness testing, viscosity, surface tension, and material stress/strain • Work in a self-directed fashion as well as in a team project, using hplc, ion chromatography, gas chromatography equipped with various detectors (FID, TC, UV, fluorescence), • Execute test methods in support of device Process Development and Quality activities • Troubleshoot, optimize, and trend assay performance. • Establish design criteria using Design of Experiments (DOE) and other contemporary development tools • Perform sufficient statistical analysis to establish specificity, sensitivity, linear range, precision and accuracy of test methods. • Maintain analytical lab instrumentation, manage lab reagents, ensure appropriate preventative maintenance and calibration is carried out. • Generate and Maintain excellent written documentation (e.g. lab notebook and test forms). Scientific Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry minimum requirement. • Must have a thorough, demonstrated, understanding of modern analytical and spectroscopic techniques, and must possess the ability to interpret the corresponding data and spectra. Have sufficient statistical analysis know-how and experience to establish specificity, sensitivity, linear range, precision and accuracy of test methods. • Ability to communicate effectively both in verbal and written forms in inter-disciplinary environments is mandatory, and a most fundamental qualification. Implement and communicate tactics to • determine timelines for delivering results. Must be able to work in a team environment. • Problem solving and trouble shooting and the on-hands skill that is required in the multi-tasking AMSA, Inc. culture is a fundamental required qualification. A good command of data presentation and data analysis skills using Excel, and related programs, is essential. • Excellent command of computer skills is essential. • Language skills and international background most welcome.
