consumer. Coffee plantations covering some 27,000 km2

Two main species-Arabica and Robusta. Grown in 13 out of 26 states in Brazil.

Forecasts Though the importance of coffee export

for Brazil’s economy has declined in the last 50 years, it still considered an important export.

Brazil is the second largest consumer of coffee and is predicted to surpass the United States in the mid-2010s.
