Brickwork Ratings, a credit rating agency founded
by bankers, former regulators, and credit rating
professionals, is a SEBI registered credit rating
agency with its corporate office in Bengaluru. It is
also empanelled by NSIC and accredited by RBI
for carrying out SME and bank loan ratings
respectively. It has a country-wide presence
through its branches at Ahmedabad, Chandigarh,
Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and New
Delhi along with representatives in 150+ locations.

ITI GradingThe Directorate General of Employment and Training (DGET), Ministry of Labour and
Employment, has introduced grading for ITI’s. These grades are meant to provide a
benchmark for these institutions as well as help them find their relative position as compared
to other institutions.
Brickwork Ratings has been empaneled by DGET to assign gradings to Industrial Training
Institutes (ITIs).

Institutions that provide courses for different trades will need each trade to be graded.

Grading Mandate
The mandate to undertake the grading of the ITI is signed between Brickwork Ratings and the Institute
Information Collection and Review
An Information Requirement Specification document will be shared with the Institute. The information and data collected are then reviewed by Brickwork Ratings.
Management Discussions
A management discussion will be conducted by the analysts. The management discussion typically follows the information review and may be conducted through the grading process, as and when required.
Presentation to the Grading Committee
The Grading Committee at Brickwork Ratings has the final responsibility of assigning the grade, the analyst presents the case to the Grading Committee which then deliberates and recommends the grade for the Institute.
Submission of Grading Report
Post the recommendation of the committee, the analyst team submits the grading report to the Institute for review.
Publication of the Grading
The grading assigned is then published via a press release as well as in the website of Brickwork Ratings.
