BRIDGING THE GAP SCHOOL TO UNIVERSITY

Aiming to support young people with additional needs, their parents and guardians, SENCOS and other education professionals in negotiating the transition process from school to university. The day includes a series of talks and workshops which will look at:

n Reasons to go to university, and how to apply.n Applying for Disabled Student Allowance.n Study Support – an opportunity to try out assistive

software, and ask questions about support available.

n Practical suggestions to help prepare for independent living.

n Support beyond university and employment.

Visitors will also be given the opportunity to make the most of being ‘on-campus’ and will explore our University in small groups with a student ambassador.
