A poster representing information you have learnt about
plants and animals This could be hand-drawn, painted, collaged or done on the computer. You could
email / send photos of your completed poster to your teacher.
Make an information leaflet about an animal or plant of
your choice and how it has adapted to where it lives. EG
why does a penguin live in the Arctic and not the
rainforest? How do you know? This could be done using Microsoft Publisher and emailed to the class teacher or it could
be hand made and photos of your leaflet send to the class teacher.
Make a model to represent an animal or plant’s habitat.
You could include key facts about your animal/plant on
your model If you choose this option, please take photographs of the finished model and send to
the class teacher via email.

Write five sentences that use show not tell (and your beautiful handwriting!) about how the
character feels in the book you have been reading in guided reading. EG: Her heart began to
pound; every hair on her body stood on end as she spotted the writing on the wall ahead of her.

Look at the quotes. What do they show about the character? Write a sentence underneath each quote. Write a diary extract about what has happened recently. How would they talk? What would they
talk about? Remember to include different clauses and semi colons within your work. You can
