NWSS in Denver, Co. on Saturday, January 19, 2013 “in the yards” for the fourth edition of the “Bright Lights” Maine-Anjou Bull and Female Sale.

This is without a doubt the deepest set of Bulls and Females that have been offered in the “Bright Lights” sale since combining the two sales into one. There are 58 lots of performance driven bulls who are loaded with eye-appeal. A special lot is in this year as we are offering two clones of the deceased immortal breeding bull SLC Sooner 101M. The 23 lots of females and embryos are without question the best that have been brought to the NWSS in sometime. The offering is loaded with cattle that have look, balance, body, bone, looks and who are structurally correct.

I personally want to commend the consignors and breeders who have put together this excellent set of cattle for your appraisal. Whether you are in the market for herd bulls, promotional bulls, elite show heifers, future donors, or elite embryos they are all gathered for this main event in Denver. I hope you will be able to join us and appraise this quality offering that is stacked with superior seed stock genetics.

Terms: Terms of the sale are cash or check, payable immediately upon conclusion of the sale and before animals will be moved. Seller will re-serve the right to require a certificate check as settlement before releasing any cattle.

Risk: All animals are the owner’s risk prior to their sale and become property of the purchaser as soon as declared “sold” by the auctioneer (but will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time).

Bidding: All animals sell to the highest bidder. Any disputes or chal-lenges regarding bids will be settled by the auctioneer and his decision will be final.

Health: All animals sell with proper individual health certificates making them eligible for transport to most destinations within the U.S.

Announcements: Announce-ments from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in this catalog.

Registry Certificates: All animals shall carry papers from the American Maine-Anjou Associa-tion. All papers will be transferred and mailed to the new owner at the consignor’s expense.

Shipping: Assistance will be given in making shipment after the sale, but no risk will be assumed by the seller. Expenses incident thereto are the responsibility of the purchaser, who should furnish shipping instruc-tions at time of settlement.

Breeding Guarantee: Bulls: All bulls are guaranteed to be breeders. It will be the respon-sibility of the buyer to have the bull semen tested before he is turned out with cows or before 15 months of age, whichever comes first. If not done, the seller is not responsible. Any bull that has not proven himself a breeder, the matter shall be reported

in writing to the seller within six (6) months following the purchase or six (6) months after the bull has reached 15 months of age. Seller will then have the right or privilege of six (6) months to prove the bull a breeder. Any bull that has not proven himself a breeder that is healthy and in good condition may be returned to the seller at the buyer’s expense. If the bull should fail to prove a breeder, the seller at his option, can return either purchase price to the buyer or replace the animal with another of equal value in settlement and satisfaction of all claims. In no event, shall the seller be responsible for more than purchase price. If the bull becomes a non-breeder by reason of injury, negligence or mismanagement, the seller’s guarantee shall be void.

Liabilities: It is to be clearly understood that the AMAA, the sale manager and all their representatives act only as a medium between the buyer and seller. They are not respon-sible in any way for failure on the part of the buyer and seller to live up to his/her obligations to collect or en-force collections of monies between parties. Any legal actions, that may in exceptional cases be taken, must be buyer and seller.

Accidents: Although every precaution will be taken to protect the safety and comfort of the buyers and those attending the sale, the AMAA, or seller, or sale manager do not assume any responsibilities in the matter and each disclaims any liability, legal or otherwise, in the event of an accident or loss of property.

Contract: The above terms and conditions of sale shall constitute a contract between buyer seller of each animal and be equally binding on both. Animals that are resold following purchase in this sale shall constitute a separate transaction and the rights and obligations of the two parties connected thereto are not covered by these sale terms and conditions.
