Job Description Job title Investment Analyst Team British Business Bank Investments Ltd Band 7 Reporting to Head of Management Portfolio Director, BBBIL Management responsibility N/A Purpose of the job The person appointed will be part of a small team that is responsible for evaluating, structuring and monitoring, British Business Bank Investments Ltd (BBBIL) debt and equity investments to support lenders whose focus is on providing debt and equity to smaller UK companies. The role will involve working across the range of activities of BBBIL, working with investment colleagues based in the Sheffield and London offices, and liaising with in-house legal, risk and finance teams as well as external advisors. Main duties The key aspects of the role will involve: Assisting the members of the Team with: Portfolio management including: financial modelling and monitoring of the operational management of programmes. Liaising with delivery partners on operational queries and programme terms and conditions; maintaining the portfolio management information database; working with colleagues in the Bank’s reporting and finance functions with respect to portfolio performance. Market reviews and statistical analysis. Team administration: Ownership of Key Models within the BBBIL Team the use of appropriate templates created for the assessment process; ensuring that the process stages are being followed and documented on the system; up-dating databases; Transaction pipeline tracking including: fair, open and transparent assessment of all bids received against stipulated programme requirements and investment criteria; management of all aspects of BBBIL’s relationship with bidders as appropriate; preparation of Sighting Papers and Investment Committee Reports; preparation of due diligence work and reports; management of BBBIL’s relationship with third party contractors responsible for delivery of various aspects of programme operations; Knowledge and experience Able to demonstrate initiative and work without direction Experience of working in the finance industry or other regulated environments an advantage.
