The Powerlist is the brilliant creation of Michael Eboda who spotted the inspirational story to be told about theachievements of a previously hidden group.

Back in 2009 a group of Powerlisters met to celebrate being recognised in this way. As we swapped stories we

quickly realised two things about our success:

It was due in large part to the unselfish support of others friends, relatives, teachers and colleagues; and

it could encourage others to pursue their aspirations.

We decided that we had an obligation to channel the energy unleashed by the list into a force for general good

and the Powerlist Foundation was born. We hope that our example will persuade you of that obligation to help

    others to fulfil their potential.

Our vision is a world where personal achievement depends on talent and application and is not affected by colour,

race, gender or religion. We arrange activities such as this Summer School to help tomorrows leaders accelerate

their journeys to success. The people and companies who have combined to build this School for you show that its

not just the Powerlist Foundation that is living up to our motto:

    Sharing success with tomorrows leaders

Take as much as you can from the next few days and make sure that you give even more back!

    Best wishes

    About the programmeThe great American

    statesman Henry Kissinger

once said that the task of a

good leader is to get people

from where they are to where

    they have never been, which

    is essentially what this three-

    and-a-half day leadership

programme aims to do for its

    participants. They will be

    challenged, they will learn

    about themselves, they will

    be mentored by very

    successful people, and they

    will be told where their

    strengths and weaknesses lie

and how to improve on both.Ultimately, they will emerge

    with a greater understanding

of what it takes to be a

    leader in the 21st century.

    Michael Eboda

    CEO, Powerful Media

Deloitte is an organisation that values its people. They are all we have.

Their knowledge and commitment is critical to our ongoing success and supporting their professional development

and growth must, therefore, be at the heart of everything we do. We expect them to work hard but we also know

that they develop disproportionately during their time with the firm.

Many of our people become Partners: leaders in our organisation. For some, its an aspiration they have had since

joining us. To achieve this, they must demonstrate extraordinary leadership skills, balancing the ability to engage ourpeople and our clients, with excellence in their areas of particular expertise and knowledge of the market.

We have used much of our approach in the design of the Summer School. The days you spend with us on campus,

will reflect real life approaches that we use within Deloitte, as we encourage and support our people to be our

    partners of tomorrow.

Please make the most of your time on the summer school!

The Powerlist Foundation exists to promote the development of young people in achieving their full potential by providing support

and activities which develop their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in and contribute to society as

mature and responsible individuals. Our vision is a world where personal achievement depends on talent and application and is

not affected by colour, race, gender or religion. We intend to help make that come about by applying the power of those who

have already achieved success to raise the ambitions and ease the path of those in the community who are yet to realise their

    full potential.
