Human culture starts from being gatherer, hunter, plants and animals domesticator until nowadays they become the creator of a sophisticated technology. Nonetheless, agricultural still remain the main source for food, medicine, and other uses that support human daily life. However, we all aware that there is a competition on land use between agriculture and settlement. There is also an alarming tendency in some Asia countries about transforming the agriculture knowledge and wisdom that relates to the community culture to young generation. Agriculture sector is not a popular profession for the young people, in spite of its necessity for the human life. The International Symposium of ACLA 2015 in Bali will gather scientists and researchers, as well as individuals and institutions that relates to the agricultural landscapes. The symposium event is a forum for participants to share, discuss, and debate on any issues in regards to the Asian agricultural landscapes. It is ex‐pected that from this forum, the participants can formulate a new paradigm in viewing the agricultural landscapes of Asia and contribute to enrich an understanding & knowledge on agricul‐tural system. Hopefully starting from this symposium, a forum concerning agricultural landscapes of Asia can be endorsed.
