Guess What? The Holidays are here!!Message from the Board
Where has the time gone? Seems likejust yesterday we were taking down thegarlandsandpreparingtoheadbacktoworkfor another year. So much has happenedthis lastyearandyetsolittlehaschanged.WestillhavethebestlittleneighborhoodinColleyville and our hope is that all of ourneighborsareenjoyinggoodfortuneandgoodhealth. Asyoureadthis,youandyourfamilyhavedone major damage to the Thanksgivingturkey and fixings. We have so much tobe grateful for, a great country, a greatneighborhood, and great neighbors. Muchhasbeendonebehindthescenestokeepourcommunity the best it can be.You shouldstarttonoticethewonderfulnewplantingsateachofourentrancesandafacelifttoour
fountainplantings.LoriFalco,LaurieSpeights, and many others haveworkedhardtogiveusthosenice
changes.Weappreciateallthosethatputinthehoursandeffort
in a job well done. TheHolidaydecorationsplacedbytheHolidaydecorations
committeeonceagainlook terrific. Nothing nicer than coming
home to acommunitythat has
thespiritoftheholidays.Thankstoyouall. OurSocialCommitteehasalsobeenhardatwork.Itisthehopeofallofusthatyouhavebeenable to takeadvantageof‘pow-wowing’ with your neighbors at our “LastTuesday” events. We have so much funkicking around the latest stories and finding outhowfunourneighborsare.Ifyouhavenotattended,pleasedo…oneofthethingsthatmakeaneighborhoodagreatplacetoliveis the interactionbetween thegreatpeoplelivingthere.Thisisafunandsimplewaytointeract.Becauseof theholidays,no“LastTuesday”eventwasscheduledforDecember,butwillbeginonceagaininJanuary. There are three major events scheduledfor the Brook Meadows Holidays.All ourneighborsareinvitedtoattendeachoftheseevents:
THETrainDisplayOpenHouse–ThisyearisbeingheldonSaturday,December8thfrom1:00–5:00PMatthehomeofStanPirzchalski,4832LakesideDrive.Comebytoseethe‘MDAKRailroad’.Ifyouhaveneverbeentoseethisdisplay,youwillbeshockedattheprofessionalismanddetailStan, and his beloved wife Karen, haveput into this display.They even built aspeciallargeroomtohousethisyear-roundhobby. BRING THE KIDS!!! The price of admissionisonlya toyorcannedgoodswhich will be donated to ‘GRACE’. DO NOT MISS THIS…Ladies Ornament Exchange –Thursday,

Each lady will bring aspecialChristmasornamentunder$15andthe fun begins there. Good food and drink andsomecrazyladies,makethisagreatwaytokickofftheholidays.Bringsomegoodmunchiesordesert,and$10tohelpcoverthecostofthedrinks.Annual Brook Meadows Holiday Party– this event will be held on Saturday,December15thatthenewhomeofMaryand Ken Cornelius, 4402 ShadywoodLane.Don’tknowaboutyou,butwearelookingforwardtoseeingtheinsideofthelatest addition toourneighborhood.Thefestivitieswillcommencearound7:30PM.Ifyoucannotmakeitat7:30,thencomeanytimethereafterandenjoythecompanyof your neighbors.The dress is holidayfestive (not formal) and would love foryoutobringaholidayfavoritetomunchon.Asisnormal,weaskthateachpersoncontribute$10tocoversomeofthecostoftheevent.
