ACRYLIC COPOLYMER EMULSION
Carboset® RPT 2000 is an APEO and formaldehyde-free1, acrylic copolymer emulsion developed for adhesion to a variety of roofing membranes. It’s adhesion, elongation, and alkali and bitumen bleed through resistance make it a suitable choice for use over new and aged concrete, asphaltic felts, BUR, modified bitumen, and single plies as a primer, topcoat or both.
General Performance and ApplicationsDesigned for use in low slope roof applications, Carboset RPT 2000 can be used as a universal primer over most substrates as well as a premium topcoat in temperate climates. It passes all properties pertinent to ASTM D6083 with the exception of low temperature flexibility due to its Tg of 10 °C.
