Click on “Adult Volunteer Leaders” tab on left of 4-H home page.
Complete online application to receive password.
Reviews & County Notification Complete each module; score of module
review is not viewed by anyone except the person completing the review. Certificate for each module can be printed after completion.
County Office is notified when modules have been completed. If county office needs volunteer contact information they can notify Linda Schultz.

Apply to be a representative from your 4-H District (NE, SE, NW & SW) to the 4-H Leaders’ Association Executive Board (3 year terms)

Serve on the 4-H Adult Forum planning committee – 1 year term
State & National 4-H Recognition for Adults
Salute to Excellence Awards State & National levels:
4-H Volunteer of the Year Award – less than 10 years of service
Outstanding Lifetime 4-H Volunteer Award – more than 10 years of service
Nomination letter, resume & 3 letters of recommendation are required to nominate a 4-H leader.
New Mexico 4-H Hall of Fame Recognizes individuals who have had a
significant impact upon the New Mexico 4-H Youth Development
Nomination is required and can be submitted by any person or group.
Current 4-H faculty and staff are not eligible for nomination.
Outstanding 4-H Agent Award
The Outstanding 4-H Agent Award is designed to reward Extension Agents for their exceptional efforts in communicating with 4-H clubs and groups, conducting county events, engaging volunteer 4-H leaders and providing educational opportunities for youth over their career.
To be eligible for nomination an agent must have served at least 3 years in a professional position with 4-H responsibilities.

4-H International Program Chaperone
Each summer adult chaperones travel with groups of 4-H youth to countries on the States’ 4-H International Exchange Program (S4-HIEP)
2 week or 4 weeks in length Serve as the Group Leader and support
the exchange delegates while traveling abroad.
4-H International Program Host Family
Open your home to an exchange delegate and open your lives to the world!
Through States’ 4-H International, families have an opportunity to experience Argentina or Finland in July/August by hosting an exchange delegate for four weeks.
Hosting an adult chaperone is option too!
