Good Morning & Welcome to Monday’s trading action at Dalal Street
dated 5th of July 2021.
Outlook for Monday: Buy something! We like Tata Motors
and Jubilant Foods.
Our call of the day suggests that the bulls camp are likely to be in a cheerful
mood as the benchmark Nifty will aim to capitalize on the optimistic structure on
backdrop of the better-than-expected U.S June Jobs Report.
The U.S. economy added back jobs for a sixth straight month in June, with job
growth picking up speed alongside the reopening economy. 850,000 jobs were
added in June vs. 720,000 expected. Unemployment Rate was seen at 5.9% vs.
5.6% expected. The street now believes that the Federal Reserve won't be hiking
interest rates anytime soon as the U.S economy added more jobs than expected
in June and hourly wage increases were below forecasts.
Technically speaking, Nifty is likely to take over the positive baton from a strong
close at Dalal Street in Friday’s trade. Extension of upside quite likely with
immediate targets at Nifty’s all-time-high at 15917 mark and then all bullish eyes
will be glued to Nifty’s psychological 16,000 mark. Near term support zone also
shifts higher to 15635-15650 zone.
Also helping sentiments would be the fact that all three major Wall Street indices
ended at records in Friday’s trade. The Dow, S&P 500 and Nasdaq all climbed in
the week gone by as the Dow rose 1%, while the S&P 500 gained 1.7% and the
Nasdaq climbed 1.9%.
Our chart of the day is bullish on stocks that are likely to soar relentlessly:
Balkrishna industries, Tata Motors, Siemens and Jubilant Foods look attractive on
the buy side.
• Preferred trade on Nifty (15722): Buy at CMP. Targets at 15927/16001
and then at 16251 mark with strict stop at 15497.
• Preferred trade on Bank Nifty (34810): Buy at CMP. Targets at 35811
and then aggressive targets at 37709 mark with stop at 34251.
• BULLISH STOCKS: BALKRISHNA INDUSTRIES, SIEMENS, MPHASIS,
MINDTREE, COFORGE, MC DOWELL, TATACHEM, MANAPPURAM, PIIND,
GRANULES, RELIANCE, SBIN, DEEPAKNTR.
• BEARISH STOCKS: MGL, PVR, PFC, JINDASTEL, BRITANNIA,
BAJAJFINSV, ADANIENT.
• SHOW ME THE MONEY: Momentum Call: Buy JUBILANT FOODS JULY
Futures for 0-3 days at CMP 3146 for an objective of 3307. Stop 3071. Alert:

2. Decline in COVID cases and a pick-up in vaccination drive
3. Low interest rates environment.
4. Expected upbeat results from corporate India Inc.
5. IMD’s forecasts of a normal monsoon rainfall 'over the country as a whole'
in July.
The U.S. bond and the U.S. stock markets will remain closed on Monday in
observance of Independence Day, the Fourth of July holiday that fell on a Sunday
this year.
Now, here are other key things to know before today’s market opens:
• Technically speaking, only a clear breakout over 15917 for the Nifty would
be bullish as benchmark with immediate targets at the magical 16000
mark. Nifty’s make-or-break long-term supports are placed at 15451 mark.
If Nifty slips below the 15459 mark then it’s safe to assume that rising
inflation risks are spoiling the party at Dalal Street.
Please note, Nifty’s 200DMA at 13979 mark. The price action for Nifty for
this week’s trade is suggesting that we are likely to see a 15,500- 16200
range in near term.
• The slight optimism for our stock markets is also on backdrop of the fact
that the volatility index has dropped lower to 15.07. Well, a lower VIX level
is seen bullish for stocks.
• The options data for July series suggests Nifty is likely to be in a higher
trading range of 15500-16200 as maximum Call OI is at 16000 followed by
16500 strike price. Maximum Put open interest stands at 15500 levels
followed by 15000 levels. Call writing was seen at 16100 and then at 16200
strike price, while there was meaningful Put writing at 15000 and then at
15200 strike prices.
• Crude oil prices were up 1.82% in the week gone by as have ended at
$75.04 a barrel. During last week they hit highs at $76.22 a barrel. Oil
prices have surged on a report that Saudi Arabia and Russia have a
tentative deal to gradually increase OPEC+ output in the coming months.
Honestly speaking, oil prices are a perfect way to play higher inflation on
backdrop of demand is seen rising and supply is restrained, setting up a
prolonged period of strength in the oil prices.
• The 10-year Treasury note yield was at 1.434%, bringing it to its lowest rate
since March 2.
• TCS will officially set afire the ceremonial starters pistol for Q1 earnings on
8th July 2021.
Tata Motors Ltd. was incorporated in the year 1945 and commands a market
cap of Rs 120,658 Crore. Tata Motors is India's leading automobile
manufacturer —— largest commercial vehicle company and fourth-largest
passenger vehicles player and also has presence in defence vehicles. Tata
Motors is one of India's largest OEMs offering an extensive range of integrated,
smart and e-mobility solutions.
The firm is a part of the USD113 billion Tata group having operations in the UK,
Spain, South Korea, Thailand, South Africa and Indonesia through a strong
global network of 76 subsidiary and the key amongst them are Jaguar Land
Rover, the business comprising two iconic British brands – Jaguar and Land
Rover and then Tata Daewoo in South Korea. Tata Motors acquired Jaguar Land
Rover (JLR) in 2008.
Promoters held 46.4 per cent stake in the company as of March 31, 2021, while
FIIs held 13.8 per cent, DIIs 12.1 per cent and public and others 27.8 per cent.
The positive triggers:
• Jaguar holds the key to re-rating. Tata Motors expects JLR volume to grow
>20% and the EBIT margin ~4% for FY22E. The sales of Jaguar have
picked up in China and Europe. Any positive surprise on jaguar sales from
Europe could strengthen the case of re-rating.
• Strong momentum being witnessed in “New Forever” portfolio and focused
initiatives across value chain. Commercial Vehicle segment witnessing
higher demand from infrastructure, housing, mining and e-commerce
space.
• The long-term outlook remains positive on backdrop of a robust order
pipeline
• Amidst this backdrop, TML seen posting solid operational performance with
strong demand, increase in production activities and better product mix
backed with cost efficiencies initiatives.
• In FY21, passenger vehicles business posted highest growth in 8 years and
Nexon and Harrier witnessed their highest sales since launch. Nexon is
among the top three highest selling compact SUVs in India —— the last
50,000 units have been rolled out in less than six months
• Tata Motors plans to have zero debt by 2024. The street likely to be
surprised positively amidst reduction in capex, better profitability,
improving working capital and selling some of the non-core assets. Balance
sheet improvement quite likely. Lower automotive debt was seen recent Q4
by INR14bn QoQ to INR40.9bn.
• Tata Motors is evaluating opportunities to raise capital from potential
strategic partners or investors, including private equity funds and sovereign
wealth funds, for its electric vehicle (EV) business as the automaker works
towards building a range of affordable electric cars.
Key risk:
• Prices of some key raw materials have increased sharply in last few weeks.
Either the company will have to absorb that hike or will have to pass it
consumers. In first case, margins would be at risk, in second case sales
might get impacted.
• Brexit, Trade Wars.
Technically, brace yourselves for a major breakout play on the daily charts with
recent sequence of higher high intact on the weekly/monthly charts. An impulse
uptrend is seen forming on the weekly time scale, with positive SAR series, as
the price pattern has just been confirmed on its close above the Mar 2021
closing highs at 323 mark.
Add to that a bullish divergence and a rising stochastic signal (on weekly charts)
with recent increase in volumes signaling a larger rebound. The 200 days
Exponential Moving Average (EMA) of the stock on the daily chart is currently at
260 zone.
Simply buy at CMP, and on dips between 307-312.50 zone, targeting
363/3783 mark and then at psychological 400 mark. Holding Period:
