A comprehensive Five Year Parts and Labour Warranty is available with all Teka Ovens, Compacts, Microwaves, Combination Microwaves, Steam Ovens, Coffee Machine, Warming Drawers, Hobs and Hoods. This extended warranty is subject to registration with Teka UK. Products not registered for the 5 Year Extended Warranty within 30 days of purchase will be covered by the standard Two Year Parts and Labour Warranty. No minimum purchase is required each individual appliance qualifies for the extended warranty.

Refrigeration, Dishwashers, Washers and Washer Dryers are excluded from the 5 Year Parts and Labour Warranty offer. A standard Two Year Parts and Labour Warranty applies to these products. In all cases the extended warranty must be registered with Teka UK. The onus for registration of the extended warranty is with the end user. A Teka UK extended warranty registration form must be completed and sent directly to Teka UK along with proof of purchase. Conventionnal settingUsed for items like sponges and cakes where the heat must be uniform to achieve a spongy texture. Recommended temperature: 170° C - 210° C.

Maxi grillAllows for cooking bigger surfaces than the standard grill, and greater power reduces the time required for browning food.

Fan grilling Used when uniform roasting is needed at the same time as surface browning. It’s ideal for larger dishes such as poultry and game, when a tray can be placed under the grid to collect leftovers and juices.

Bottom heating elementHeats only from underneath, suitable for cooking dishes with a pastry content.

GrillFor grilling and browning, particularly suitable for low-to-medium thickness meat like sausages and steaks. Recommended temperature: 170-220° C.

Conventionnal and fan settingAppropriate for roasts and cakes. The fan spreads heat uniformly around the oven, reducing cooking time and temperature. Recommended temperature: 160-200° C.

Grill and bottom heating elementIs specially for roasts, of any size.

Bottom heating element with fanDistributes heat from the lower part of the oven and is ideal for cakes with jam or fruit filling which only require heating from underneath. Pre-heating is always necessary with this setting.

Fingerprint-proof stainless steel

The opaque sheen applied to the exterior of our ovens protects the stainless steel by increasing its resistance to dirt as well as preventing grease particles from accumulating on the surface, creating a true fingerprint-proof finish.

The Teka turbo function cooks via a rear heating element with fan assistance, improving heat distribution to all areas of the oven. This means that simultaneous cooking can be carried out at different levels without odours and flavours being mixed.

Defrosting

The oven defrosting function is achieved through short cycles of hot air circulation at two settings: high level (45°C) for meats in general, and low level (35°C) for fish, pastries and bread. The warm airflow preserves all the essential ingredients while defrosting, as the ice molecules break up slowly and naturally.

The double microwave output (D.M.O.), in some Teka models, allows diagonal waves to enter from two points which complement the motion of the integrated rotary turntable to cook evenly, and minimise the possibility of cold zones.

A defrost system by weight is available on all electronic and touch-control models. It calculates defrosting time according to the type and weight of the food. Kg

Automatic defrost by time is the alternative method, available in the electronic and touch control models, whereby power varies for a more efficient defrosting.

Defrosting with microwaves

The Air Mix Chamber System takes cold air from outside and a fan mixes it with hot air from the oven’s inner cavity. This prevents cabinetry, the front of the oven and handles from becoming too hot. This system also avoids condensation on the inner glass of the door, as well as grease accumulation around the control panel.

Mixed chamber cooling system: Keeping the oven cool

Teka ovens incorporate a totally flat inner door for high resistance, tempered glass (easily removable without tools), which contributes to the ‘A’ Class energy rating. This also complies with the most demanding safety standards regarding door temperatures (section 11.102 of the Norm of Security of Appliances UNE - EN 60335).

Hot inside, cold outside

Thanks to the five shelf levels in the oven, more versatility is generated via the optional telescopic tray system, with three, two or one level, enabling trays to slide into various positions for the safe and easy removal of food.

Conventional cooking can waste up to 45% of food’s nourishment Teka steam ovens ensure the loss of vitamins and other nutriticious substances is practically eliminated.

Health and flavour are essential in today’s cuisine, as is time. Steam cooking does not consume more time than traditional cooking and it provides better results by eliminating fat and avoiding burning.

Preserve vitamins and nutrients with steam cooking

For the ultimate oven cleaning, Teka coats the trays and cavities of their new HL ovens with a special enamelling process called HydroClean. With this unique cleaning system all that is required is a glass of water and to run the HydroClean programme which takes 4 minutes to warm up to 60º and 20 minutes to cool down. Then simply wipe with a damp cloth. This super Eco Friendly cleaning system uses 98% less energy than pyro systems and takes 86% less time.

Teka has continued to innovate and upgrade as part of its drive to improve gas cooker design and functionality. The latest feature is the cast iron grids for its gas on glass hobs.

Induction & Ceramic Hobs - Features and Benefits

Teka ceramic and induction hobs are available in a variety of shapes with bevelled, framed and flush-fit edges. The flush-fit edge allows the hob to be recessed into the work surface creating a perfectly flat surface.

Lateral lines.

This function allows two separate induction zones to be merged and used as one large zone. The power level and timer setting are synchonised. This function is activated by pressing the “full induction” senor on he control panel.

Full induction function

The perfect function when cooking pasta, rice, eggs or when boiling any kind of food. This function allows the user to cook almost automatically. When in use the system detects the point of boiling and gives out an audible sound. After 30 seconds the alarm sounds again time to place the food in the pan. At this point the timer activates the optimum cooking time. When the cooking time is reached a third alarm sounds, at this point the power level is reduced automatically to a gentle level to stop the food from spoiling.

iQuick smart boiling function

Boost raises the cooking zone to it’s maximum power and then lowers it after a set time. It is really helpful when preparing dishes that need fast boiling followed by simmering. As a result, the complete cooking process is controlled without having adjust the setting again. Flexibility of use and control are standard for example use setting 1 to heat up a consommé, 4 to rapidly heat a litre of water and 7 to fry chicken.

Induction technology: Boost function.

Teka induction zones will heat only the pan base. Everything else stays at a constant temperature except for the normal heat transfer between the botton surface of the pan and the glass face of the hob. This way, the magnetic flow is concentrated at the points of contact between the hob and the pan. If a pan is smaller than the element, the sensors will recognise its size and adjust the heat generated to its perimeter. Induction zones are really popular in the hob market thanks to their unquestionable advantages: safety, ease of cleaning, speed, economy, design, choice and superior performance.

iQuick smart heat.

Power function.

The power function increases the total power of the zone’s selected by 35% for ten minutes this is ideal for cooking fast boiling dishes, or to warm liquids rapidly. On some models the power function can be activated in just one zone at a time, transferring all of the available power to that specific area.

The Stop and Go function is very useful when the doorbell or phone rings, as it means the cooking process can be paused without the need to restart the hob, avoiding food burning or overcooking. Only one touch and the hob will remember the selected power, cooking programme or time.

Stop & Go.

The digital programming function allows hobs to be programmed to a specific time ranging from 1 minute to 99 minutes, when the programmed time is over, the hob switches off emitting an acoustic signal. In some Teka models the programming timer can be activated independently in all the cooking zones at the same time. The hob switches off emitting an acoustic signal.

Digital programming.

Teka offers a wide selection of burners to suit all cooking needs: triple ring burners, fish burners as well as the traditional fast, semi-fast and small burners. All have been dimensioned for standard pan sizes and to ensure an even cooking temperature across the whole surface of the recipient. With this choice of burners and the different grid options (individual and double grids in cast iron or enamelled), it’s easy to find the right Teka hob for your kitchen.

Different control panels for every need

There are several types of control panels: Touch control, pop-up control knobs, electronic or mechanical (push button or slide panel). Touch Control and electronic panels can programme filtration time up to 45 minutes, as well as extraction speeds (3 + intensive).

Advice on use

Switch the hood on around 3-5 minutes before starting to cook and switch off 3-5 minutes after finishing cooking. By doing this an air flow is created in the kitchen. This air flow will then increase the output of the hood to reach an optimal level of noise and efficiency.

Teka motors have an optimized design of both motor and fan. This results in a substantial reduction in sound levels to 41 dBA or less.

low consumption halogen lamps are built into the casing of the chimney hood. They produce a white light with an excellent chromatic output.

Thanks to the programming timer, the user can easily control the extraction time according to the speed chosen, disconnecting the hood automatically once the selected time is over. Thus, undesired odours are no longer a problem.

More efficient motors

A complete new range of motors for 800m3/h decorative Teka hoods has in some instances reduced sound levels down to 41dB and increased extraction capacity to 880m3/h. The armoured motor has also been designed to prevent grease from entering the motor, thus extending its life.

The sound power level, is the acoustic energy emmitted by the hood, expressed in dBA. Teka double turbine, high performance motors, have been designed to reach only 41dB.

Style with impressive performance

To maximise the properties of stainless steel, the classic chimney hood shape has been extended into spherical, conical, oval and square styles, enhanced by layered and asymmetric effects. Additional materials such as glass widens the choice even further. Careful folding in manufacture keeps welded joints to a minimum, and rounded forms work in perfect harmony with surrounding decorative elements to create an aesthetic yet functional centrepiece for the kitchen.

Installation advice

Teka recommends the use of ducting tube with a diameter of at least 100mm for traditional models, or 120mm for chimney hoods to allow a better air flow. Chimney hoods sometimes require a reduction of Ø150 / Ø125, necessary for installation. Avoid unnecessary curves and bends (elbows) in the installation of ducting, as these produce noise and loading losses, considerably reducing the output and useful life of the hood. If absolutely necessary, make reductions in the flat sections of the installation avoiding long tubes as much as possible.

Position the hood at a height of at least 650mm above ceramic or gas hobs. Always install ducting directly to the outside. If this isn’t possible, it is advisable to recirculate air through charcoal filters, in which case they should be regularly replaced.

Frost free: Constant temperature

The Frost free system keeps inside temperatures constant in all trays and compartments. A fan circulates air around the cabinet to create a dry environment that lowers the temperature at least 1° or 2°C in comparison to other fridges. This prevents moisture from settling on food or on the walls of the freezer, keeping them dry and free of ice. No ice also means more usable freezer space, so food is easier to be identified and removed.

Refrigeration - Features and Benefits

Teka refrigeration features a wide variety of control panels; LCD screen, digital display, chain of LEDs. The panels inform you about each zone of the refrigerator through optical and acoustic alarms should excessive increases of temperatures or electrical faults occur. They also have memories that re-establish temperature in case of electrical faults or they can be blocked to avoid malfunctions when being cleaned.

Selected control panels can be blocked for easy cleaning and external control panels mean you can regulate your fridge without even opening the door.

Teka refrigeration control panels

Teka refrigerators have a special treatment applied to both in the cavity and in the door. This Antibacterial film is made of silver ions and it prevents bacteria and micro-organisms from growing inside the refrigerator, ensuring a clean environment.

Coolflow: Continuous cold air-flow

The Coolflow system combines electronic regulation with ventilation, providing a continuous cold air-flow in the cavity. A fan located in the upper part of the product circulates cold air around the compartment which drops the temperature by at least 1° or 2°C in comparison to other fridges.

Teka refrigeration features a wide variety of settings that adapt to individual lifestyle and special situations. For instance, the VAC function reduces electrical consumption to the minimum without unplugging the refrigerator.

VAC: energy saving programme

Fuzzy Logic

The Fuzzy Logic system ensures a constant and exact temperature control without being regulated by the user.

The system is an electronic control which adjusts the temperature through independent sensors distributed inside the refrigerators, keeping a constant temperature while automatically adjusting the power to the outer temperature. Information about inner and outer temperatures is checked by the electronic control, which regulates the entrance of cold air and defines the proper temperature for each compartment.

Fuzzy

Selected Teka refrigerators offer a fast freezing zone. This zone is situated inside the freezer compartment. It has three electronic independent regulation zones, ideal to chill drinks, ice-creams or other products to be shortly served.

Preserving your most delicate food

One important feature is the Conservation Zone (0-3°C), an extractable covered compartment with a sensor and evaporator which sits on top of the vegetable drawer and ensures a constant temperature between 0° and 3°C.

This is the ideal system for preserving the most delicate fresh foods: meat, fish, cheese, etc. It maintains their natural nutritive properties up to 3 times longer than standard refrigerators, minimising the loss of vitamin, protein and mineral contents, so you get the full health benefit.

Energy classification

A++Ecology is one of Teka’s main goals. The refrigerator uses 18% of the total electricity consumption of a standard home, so it is extremely important to select a refrigerator with the correct energy classification. Teka refrigerators are all class A+ or A, and are 100% free of CFC. Most of them use butane refrigerant Gas R600 which preserves the ozone layer, reduces noise levels and improves the life of the refrigerator.

Clean air system: Odour elimination

No frost models feature the “Clean Air” system that eliminates odours. The circulated air passes through an active carbon and palladium filter that purifies the inner cavity.

Furthermore, thanks to the forced air circulation, food freezes faster without losing valuable vitamins and minerals. The ice particles within the food are formed from moisturizing processes, which allows for faster defrosting and better conservation of the original food texture, in comparison with traditional cooling systems.

Low operating noise is requirement of modern dishwashers, especially those used only over weekends or night-times as a way of saving energy. Our quietest models feature three layers of sound-dampening material applied to the inner cavity where vibrations originate, enabling Teka dishwashers reach optimal noise levels.

At Teka we consider all the possible scenarios. This is why we developed an adjustable upper basket that helps create extra space for those bigger dishes or cookware in the dishwasher.

Our top of the range dishwashers now incorporate a sophisticated specific system for 3 in 1 tablets. This system recognises its use through sensors, blocking the salt and rinse aid intake supplied by the tablet. This allows for the optimisation of washing results with the minimum detergent, salt and rinsing aid consumption.

24 hour delay timer

The DW7 41FI (45cm) and the DW7 57FI (60cm) have a 24 hour delay timer that is adjustable in 1 hour increments at the touch of a button.

Aquastop: Safety for your kitchen

Teka dishwashers include the latest Aquastop system. The DW7 59FI includes an internal Aquastop, placed inside the tank which has a floating element that activates a signal transmitting micro switch when water flooding is detected. This signal is detected by an electrovalve which closes off the water flow.

The external Aquastop system fitted to all other products automatically closes the access through the outlet water pipe when a leakage is detected.

Smart technology is here to take care of your dishwashing

Teka dishwashers have several programmes combining different cycles. The range offers models with 4, 5, 6, 8 and 12 washing cycles. The cycle consists of soaking, washing, rinsing and/or drying at different temperatures, depending on how dirty the dishes are.

Fast wash

Both the DW7 41FI (45cm) and the DW7 57FI (60cm) can be easily programmed to run a fast 30 minute wash for rapid, economic use.

Simple installation

The rear feet height adjustment on all Teka dishwashers is controlled at the front of the product which allows for rapid, simple installation.

The loading capacity has been dramatically improved in all Teka washing machines and washer-dryers. The 30 cm wide crystal door, with opening through a button in the control panel and 180° opening angle, makes loading and unloading operations more simple. Teka washing machines allow to wash a maximum of 8 kg.

The washing process for a garment will depend on the fabric used, the type of item or simply how special it is for the user. Teka washing machines are equipped with electronic systems which adapt to both the type of fabric and the weight of the load. This makes for greater efficiency, since washing time is reduced at no loss of quality. For delicate items, washing movements become slower and smoother. Waterflow is tightly controlled for maximum economy thanks to a special sensor that weights the washing in the drum and takes in the required amount of water, avoiding waste.

Teka is not just about giving a whiter-than-white wash. That’s something our machines already do. The challenge for us is economy, by which we mean both water and power consumption and the time it takes to complete your washing.

Perfect results for your favorite garment

(1) Energy consumption “X” kWh per year, based on 220 standard washing cycles for cotton programmes at 60°C and 40°C at full and partial load, and the consumption of the low-power modes. Actual energy consumption will depend on how the appliance is used.

(2) Energy efficiency class on a scale from D (least efficient) to A+++ (most efficient)

(3) Spin-drying efficiency class ‘X’ on a scale from G (least efficient) to A (most efficient)

(4) Water consumption “X” litres per year, based on 220 standard washing cycles for cotton programmes at 60°C and 40°C at full and partial load. Actual water consumption will depend on how the appliance is used.

(5) Real Energy consumption and program times of the standard 60°C cotton programme at full load and partial load and of the standard 40°C cotton programme at partial load.

The “standard 60°C cotton programme” and the “standard 40°C cotton programme” are the standard washing programmes to which the information in the garment label and the leaflet relates, that these programmes are suitable to clean normally soiled cotton laundry and that they are the most efficient programmes in terms of combined energy and water consumption.

Digital displayTeka laundry appliances are equipped with an electronic control panel, featuring a digital display to keep the user informed about selected functions. Teka offers 3 different control panels: digital LCD displays, electronic panels with information leds and electro-mechanical panels.

The digital display shows the selected programme, the duration of the programme, the start delay (from 1 to 24 hours), remaining time and suggested temperature and spinning speed. The electronic control system informs about the start/stop, the start delay (3/6/9 hours), remaining time and door blocking system.
