Hello Friends!
Welcome to Gateway! As you may know, my wife and I came on
staff here at Gateway on the first of March. Mia and I would like
to thank everyone who has been so encouraging and uplifting
here as we entered into this new role as your associate pastor.
We have had a lot of changes in our lives over this last month.
We moved to the south Salem area, and on March 31st we
celebrated a new addition into our family--we had our first baby girl! Her name is
Libbianna. If you have ever been a parent then you probably remember those first days
after taking the baby home from the hospital; how you want to make sure the baby is
staying healthy and that you’re doing everything just right. It would be easy to allow
fear to come into your heart and tell you that you’re doing this or that wrong! When my
new little girl cries I always tell her, “It’s OK” even though I know she can’t understand
me. It’s just like when our Heavenly Father tells us, “It’s going to be OK.” I wonder if we
ever really understand him. God, from the very beginning, desired that we would not live
in fear of life’s worries. Throughout this series on being fearlessfearlessfearlessfearless, let’s continue to
partner with one another as we overcome fear and anxiety in our lives!
In all the changes that we have been through, we have been so blessed to be a part of
the Gateway Family! We felt so cared for and welcomed from the first time we stepped
into the building! If you are visiting here today, I hope you will feel the same.
To those who call Gateway home: I want to thank you for cultivating an environment of
welcoming others into your lives and into our church body! Mia and I are both excited
about what is ahead for Gateway as we shine God’s light to our community and world!
