STATEMENT OF ARCHBISHOP CHARLES J. CHAPUT, O.F.M. CAP.

REGARDING SHOOTINGS IN ORLANDO

The recent violent acts committed in Orlando are horrific and they fill all of us with an unspeakable sadness. Innocent and precious lives were lost in a senseless and evil way. The family and friends of those who perished now shoulder a heavy burden of grief and suffering. As Christians, our duty is to pray for those whose lives were ended by the inexcusable cruelty of others and to ask God to pour his comforting grace upon all those who are in mourning. +Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M. Cap. Archbishop of Philadelphia

FATHER’S DAY PRAYER

Heavenly Father, it is your commandment that we should honor our fathers; hear the prayers we offer You for them. Grant them many years on earth and keep them in health of mind and body. Bless their work and all they do. Give them back a hundred-fold whatever they have done for us. Inspire them with Your love and help them to fulfill Your holy law. One day, may we be their comfort and support, so that having enjoyed their affection on earth, we may have the joy of being with them forever in Your home in Heaven. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

FATHER’S DAY SPIRITUAL BOUQUET

Father’s Day spir i tual bouquets are available again this year. They may be found

in the baskets at the back of church. All fathers’ names submitted will be remembered in the Masses offered in our church on Father’s Day and through the month of June . Donations for the card may be placed in the envelope provided and put in the collection or brought/mailed to the Rectory Office. These cards are suitable for both living and deceased fathers. Give Dad the gift of prayer!
