Checked the directory sign outside the store to see what department the hooks might be in
Spotted a few of the Command hooks at a mixed product display area, but they weren’t the right ones.
Asked a salesman where the hooks might be, and he pointed me towards the cleaning section
Found 2 cardboard promotional cases with the hooks, but they didn’t have the right ones.
Asked another salesperson where more might be, and she pointed me to the main display area for the products. There were no small Command hooks there either, so I picked up the medium hooks instead.
Checkout line wasn’t long and I paid $3.80 for the hooks
What Makes a Task Easier, Efficient, and Enjoyable?
• An organized and uncluttered store• Various guides to show users where things are (maps,
signs, directories)• Staff that is available throughout the store who’s
knowledgeable about the store and their merchandise• The product packaging design. Having the hooks inside
a transparent box made it visible• Visibility of clear product instructions.• Confirmation that task is finished efficiently. In this case
the receipt.
What to consider when creating experiences for the customer
• For new ones, it must be easy to understand• Visually, it must be easy on the eyes• Conceptually, it must depend on what the
experience is serving and does it fit the type of customer it wants to serve
• What does the customer expects?• How much knowledge does customer already
have about the product?
