Summary Box gets bumped causing the ball to fall

into funnel Ball follows track to the mousetrap Lands on the mousetrap setting it off A string attached to a screw on one end, is

pulled by the mousetrap from the other end The screw is pulled out from under the

wood The bowling ball rolls down the wood

revealing the banner

Equations

mgh = .5mv^2 + .5Iᾠ^2 T = F * r * sin(Ө) R = (mr + mr + . . . mr)/(m + m + . . . m ) Dy = vy0(t) + .5(a)(t^2) Dx = vx0(t)

Problems

We had some problems finding the right size ball to fit in the tubing.

Once set up it took multiple runs to find the right placement of mousetrap.

When the ball hit the mousetrap we lost it frequently because it was flung out of our sight.

Since we used the cheap mousetraps they kept breaking on us after 2 or 3 runs.

Conclusions

While constructing our project our goal was to spend the least amount of money but still have a quality project meeting all requirements.

Being able to apply the concepts learned in class as a group makes engineering so much more engaging than doing written work by yourself.
