Kongsberg Evotec Launch and Recovery System (E-LARS) is designed to handle work ROVs with or without Tether ManagementSystem(TMS)todepthsexceeding4000m.TheE-LARSconsistsofanumbilicalwinch,cableguides,ahandlingunitandacommoncontrolsystem.ThehandlingunithandlestheROV/TMSondeckandoverthesideofthevessel.TheumbilicalwinchhandlestheROV/TMSfromthehandlingunittotheoperationdepth.Thesys-temcanbeoperatedbothinautomatic,semi-automaticormanualmode.Theadvancedcontrolsystemensuresbestpossiblefunctionalityforthecompletesystematalltimes.
TheshipfeaturescompleteWärtsilädelivereddiesel-electricmarinepowerplantwithWärtsilädual-fuelgen-eratingsets,theWärtsiläLNGPacgasstorageandhandlingsystem,andthecompleteelectricalandautomationsystem,includingWärtsiläLowLossConceptsolution.
TheWärtsiläoutfitembracestwo6L34DFengines(MCR2610kWat720rpm)andtwo8L20DFengines(1408kWat1200rpm).Allenginesaredesignedforcontinuousoperation,withoutreductioninratedoutput,onnaturalgas.LNGPacH230gasstorageandhandlingsystemisfittedinacompartmentwithA60fireinsulation,andiswellprotectec(B/5fromshipside,B/15frombottom).ThesystemisbasedonadoubleshelledvacuuminsulatedLNGtankIMOtypeC.TheLNGtankinsulationissufficienttokeepthegasinliquidstateforextendedperiods,evenwithoutanygasconsumption.TheLNGisprocessedinsidetheTankConnectionSpace.TheTankConnectionSpaceisagastightenclosurewithdedicatedventilation,madeofstainlesssteelandthereforefunctioningasasecondbarriertoavoidLNGspillto
