WELCOME...CAMP-of-the-WOODS, located on Lake Pleasant in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York, offers outstanding Bible teaching, high quality music, and a variety of fun activities for the whole family. Adults enjoy world-class speakers in the daily morning chapels, while kids and teens love the special programs just for them.

Most guests come for a week at a time and enjoy staying together as families and eating buffet-style meals in one of our two dining rooms. Though our name is over 110 years old, our facilities are not. Over $25 million has been invested in the last fifteen years!

TEEN MINISTRYThe Jr. and Sr. High teens meet for chapel on Monday - Friday mornings in the Buirkle Center and Sonju Sports Complex meeting room. They hear solid Bible teaching each day, plus love the many special activities planned just for them. 5

CHRISTIAN EDUCATIONWe are intentional about sharing the truth of Jesus Christ with children. Our CE dept. offers daily morning programs for children age 2 - the 6th grade with qualified teachers and a solid biblical curriculum. Nursery care is provided for infants.

Chapter Two, which allows parents to attend morning seminars, is an extendedprogram for grades 1 - 6 from 10:30 am - noon.

Our CAMP-of-the-WOODS musicians are fantastic. They perform at the Friday & Saturday night concerts, with classical, Broadway, opera, big band and sacred music...truly something for everyone’s musical tastes. They also lead worship at the daily Chapels and Sunday Night Worship service, perform at recitals, plus play at the Monday Night Carnivals.

THE ADIRONDACKS ARE PERFECT FOR FUN FAMILY ACTIVITIES

There is so much to do during the day and evenings at CAMP-of-the-WOODS. Activities include hikes, canoe trips, tennis, shuffleboard, carnivals, rock-climbing, mini-golf, sand volleyball, many games and competitions, and, of course, the approximately 30,000 sq. ft. Sonju Sports Complex.

Want to kick back and relax? Enjoy our natural sand beach on beautiful Lake Pleasant or star gaze under the vast Adirondack night sky at a campfire! Camp is a great and safe place for kids.6 7

LIFT DISCIPLESHIP PROGRAM For 19 - 26 year olds

LIFT is a unique, semester-long program designed to train a new generation of Christian leaders. LIFT graduates are better equipped to face the challenges of the 21st century with a biblically grounded and culturally informed faith. LIFT is now accredited by Cairn University and Nyack College, offering 12 college credits per semester.*

Students grow through solid teaching from our staff and guest teachers, one-on-one discipleship, challenging outdoor adventures, and many opportunities for outreach and service. Perspectives are enriched and transformed through the two-week cross-cultural experiences. This year’s trips will be to the Dominican Republic and Ecuador.

TAPAWINGOIsland camp for girls

Tapawingo is for girls ages 9 through 17. Our mission is to glorify Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior through personal example, meaningful activity, Biblical direction and Christ-centered relationships.

Campers enjoy our godly staff who create a safe, friendly environment with a no gossip policy. We offer many exciting activities, including wake boarding, arts & crafts, sailing and hiking in the beautiful Adirondacks!

Our popular Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program is offered for girls ages 16 - 17 who desire to grow in Christ and their leadership ability. Two four-week sessions are offered.

Over 300 college and high school students, plus 40 year-round staff, work together to make a week at CAMP-of-the-WOODS special for our guests. Our staff also meet many new friends from around the world and personally grow through outstanding Bible teaching, staff fellowship and small groups.

ENJOY OUR CONFERENCE SEASONFrom Labor Day to Mid-June

CAMP-of-the-WOODS is a full-service conference center that hosts a variety of church and Christian ministry retreats, including youth, college, men, women, couples and leadership retreats. We host groups as small as 8 and as large as 800. Groups bring their own speakers and plan their own programs, while Camp provides great food, upscale lodging, spacious meeting rooms and state-of-the-art recreational facilities. We offer both adult and youth weekends, with specific services and menus catering to each.

There is lots to do in the Adirondacks, and groups enjoy self-guided hiking, tennis, mini-golf, shuffleboard, ice skating, tubing, cross-country skiing, snow shoeing and more (depending on the season and weather). The Sonju Sports Complex, with its three-court gymnasium, family game room, and climbing wall, is loved by groups year-round. Join the over 7,800 people who came to CAMP-of-the-WOODS for conferences and retreats last season—we promise your experience will be fun, meaningful and Christ-centered.

THE PARTNERSHIP PROGRAMThe CAMP-of-the-WOODS Partnership Program was created to maintain and expand our ministry. It is comprised of people committed to strengthening the ministry through prayer, sharing Camp with others, helping find potential staff and LIFT students, plus investing at least $1,000 a year for five years.

Each Summer over 10,000 on-site guests and Associate Members benefit from the ministry of CAMP-of-the-WOODS. We are grateful that Camp’s gross revenues cover operational expenses; however, 100% of the needed upgrades and improvements each year come from gifting...which includes the Partnership Program.

We are very thankful for our 290 current Partners, but are well short of our goal of having 500 Partners. The Partnership Program allows us to impact individuals, families and groups for Christ, plus joining the Partnership Program is an investment for future generations. Your children and your children’s children will thank you that Camp will be able to keep ministering to them as it has to you. Your support is very much needed!
