Andy Warhol’s background

• Andy grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania• When Andy was 8 he became very ill and had

to stay in bed for many months. • He discovered he loved to draw during that

time because his mom gave him his first drawing lessons!

• When he turned 9 he got his first camera• Andy went to college to become an artist
