A $50 non-refundable registration fee must accommodate this regis-tration form, or $65 if after August 31st. Registration for the event is open to the first 100 vehicles who qualify as approved for this event based on the criteria set forth on the www.kernz.com website.
Please note that if you’re approved and your vehicle does NOT pass the safety inspection on the day of the event, you will not be allowed to participate in the drag races. Please note that if your vehicle does not pass the safety inspection you will receive a 50% refund on your registration fee. In the event of rain or any type of bad weather, there will be no refunds given, as this is considered an act of god beyond our control.

On Sunday, September 11th, 2011, one of Duluth’s most unique events returns to Lincoln Park, with the nation’s only Drag Race event on a public road. Participate or come watch as more than 100 vehicles take to the street, roaring down Garfield Avenue at speeds exceeding 150 miles per hour over 1/8 mile. Make sure to arrive early to take in the Car Show, which will feature a variety of vehicles including those scheduled to participate in the event. Join in on the fun by registering your car for the Car Show. TICKET PRICESGates open at 8:00 am with ticket prices ranging from $10 for general admission standing room, to $15 for bleacher seating. DRAG RACE REGISTRATIONTo register please fill out the Drag Race Registration Form and return it to Kernz & Kompany. Pre Registration is $50 dollars through August 31st, and $65 dollars thereafter. The event is limited to 100 vehicles so it is recommended that you register your vehicle early. Once you submit your registration form, you can log onto www.kernz.com and click on the event to confirm your registration.
RULESFor those wishing to participate in the 2011 KIA of Duluth Drag Races, you must meet and agree to the following criteria:
• Musthaveexperienceracingyour vehicle on drag strips such as Brainerd International Raceway (BIR), or Rock Falls Raceway (RFR) or similar type of racing. • Vehiclescanuseslickorstreet tires (a burnout box will also be implemented prior to the start line).
•Vehiclemustpassanon-site“Safe tyInspection,”aswellas“Tech Inspection,” prior to racing.
Saturday Night • September 10th 5:00 p.m. – 12:00 Midnight
Come out and enjoy some live music as three bands take to the stage beginning at 5:00 p.m. until 12:00 Midnight. Meet racersandlistentogreatmusicduringthe“KickoffParty.”Allpatrons must be 21 years of age or older to attend as alcohol is being sold as part of the event.
LIABILITY RELEASEI AGREE THAT: InconsiderationofKernz&Kompany,Inc.(“Kernz”)permittingmetopar-ticipate in the Kia of Duluth Car Show and Drag Races under the terms set forth herein, I agree to hold harmless, release and discharge Kernz, its’ owners, agents, employees, officers, governors, managers, representatives, assigns, members, owners of the premises, affiliated organizations, insurers, and others acting on itsbehalf(hereincollectivelyreferredtoas“Associates”),ofandfromallclaims,demands causes of action and legal liability, whether the same be known or unknown, anticipated or unanticipated, due to Kernz’s and/or its’ associates from ordinary negligence; and I do further agree that except in the event of Kernz’s gross negligence and willful and wanton misconduct, I shall not bring any claims, demands, legal actions and causes of action against Kernz and/or its associates as stated above in this Release, for any economic or non-economic losses including bodily injury, death or property damage, sustained by us in re-lation to the premises and operations of Kernz. I warrant and represent that this Release is executed of my own free will. This Release shall be deemed continuing unless revoked in writing by certified mail–suchrevocationeffectiveonlyonandfollowingthedatereceivedbyKernz.
