Why I am seeking a new career.

In a brief announcement on July 21, 2011, our call center client GMAC, announced that there would be no further contractual agreements made with any outsourced call centers for customer service or sales. The decision was based on financial considerations only and in no way reflected on the performance of any call centers. The contract with Sitel Operating Co. was cancelled effective Aug. 15, 2011.

I had worked for the company for well over 7 years when I was laid off.

What do I bring to “the table?”

With over 20 years of professional customer service including direct sales and quality supervision of sales teams.

Experienced in handling customer complaints and issues.

Training new employees to company/ client expectations.

Previous experience in dispatching and driving as a medical/ legal courier.

Warehouse/ Inventory Clerk with two prior positions.

Proficient in most MS Office Applications and in creating reports.

Experienced in public speaking and teleconferencing.

About Me

Born in Alabama. Moved to the Texas Panhandle when I was five. High School Diploma from Amarillo High. Received technical training in computer technology from Lee College. Looking for long-term employment opportunity. Prefer working either day or afternoon shift. Detailed information available at my website.

Quality Assurance Specialist at Sitel Corporation May 2006 - August 2011

Ensuring adherence with industry standards and company guidelines pertaining to the call center industry. Monitoring and coaching sales agents to meet or exceed client expectations.

Coordinate and drive the sales team to meet customer needs.

Create and utilize quality reports to monitor, evaluate and coach agent performance.

Provide corporate management with areas of opportunity as well as team progress assessments.

Also at Sitel

Dell Computer Company at Sitel Corporation March 2004 - May 2006

Sitel Corporation is an outsourced call center with clients worldwide. Dell Computers was our client from March 2004 until they moved to Canada in 2006. For approximately two years, I worked as a "Triage" customer service agent for the Dell company. My responsibilities included diagnostics and support of customer reported technical difficulties and subsequent recommendations for troubleshooting those issues.

Prior Experience

Warehouse/ Shipping Clerk at Magi Manufacturing March 2003 - December 2003

In El Paso, TX for Magi Mfg. Co. Started out as a materials handler.

Promoted to shipping and warehouse clerk.

This was a small start-up company which was a subsidiary of LexMark corporation. The company sorted used toner cartridges prior to shipping accross the border to Juarez to be refilled. The company closed after a few months.

Prior Experience

Dispatcher/ Driver for STAT Courier, Tyler Taxi Service

Tyler, TX

Efficient routing of fleet vehicles to cover deliveries/ calls for transportation in a timely manner.

Use of two-way radio to best coordinate and utilize available equipment to meet customer needs.

Tracked customer calls to ensure that no deliveries or transportation requests were overlooked.
