HISTORY

Guiding you through the stunning Fraser River canyon is professional guide and owner of Sturgeon Slayers, Kevin Estrada. Prior to becoming one of the most respected sturgeon guides in British Columbia, Kevin graduated from Michigan State University and was drafted by the Carolina Hurricanes. After enjoying a strong professional hockey career, Kevin found himself back on his home waters, the mighty Fraser River. Since then, Kevin has dedicated his time to developing Sturgeon Slayers into one of BC’s premier sturgeon fishing operations. Being in the epicentre of the world’s greatest sturgeon fishing, Kevin and Sturgeon Slayers have reached international acclaim, being featured on networks such as National Geographic, BBC and Wild TV, just to mention a few.

When not guiding Kevin has been instrumental in working towards conservation efforts of BC’s white sturgeon. His contributions to the Fraser River Sturgeon Conservation Society earned him the society’s 2015 Volunteer of the Year Award. Kevin and his partner Mariko Izumi have made their home in the Fraser Valley and recently welcomed a beautiful baby daughter, Yale Izumi Estrada, to their family.

We specialize in remote Sturgeon fishing, including the canyon section of the lower Fraser River. The Fraser Valley is a four season tourist destination with activities for everyone. From golf to hiking, natural hot springs to fine dining, we trust your entire group will enjoy the variety of options our area offers.

GOLF We have teamed up with Chilliwack Golf and Country Club to offer the best of what Chilliwack has to offer.

The medium-plus length layout features an enjoyable collections of holes that are easy to walk and are fun and accessible to all levels of golfers. Par 72 and from the tips you’re looking at 6591 yards.

We can organize tee times and tournaments for you.

Fully licensed, world class practice facility and named the 2013 PGA of BC’s facility of the year.

ACCOMMODATIONS

We have developed relationships with unique accommodations that enhance your overall experience while fishing with us. We work with the awarded Forbes 5 star Rosewood Hotel Georgia in Vancouver and Tall Timber Lodge in Agassiz.

We make booking your Sturgeon fishing experience very simple.

WE KINDLY ASK FOR DETAILS SUCH AS:• How many people are fishing?

• How many days will you be joining us?

• Do you need accommodations?

• Anything else specifically you need us to arrange?

Once we have this information we can properly quote your trip.

PAYMENT• 50% Non-refundable deposit upon booking.

• 50% due 60 days prior, non-refundable if within this time.

• Trips over $1,500 we kindly ask for a bank transfer, if using credit cards there will be a 3% fee added towards your total amount

• We accept certified cheques to Sturgeon Slayers Ltd.

The Ladd Foundation is hosting its third annual charity fishing event with proceeds going to the Canadian Mental Health Association Kelowna and the Fraser River Sturgeon Conservation Society. This intimate charity event is a two day experience with 3 nights accommodation at the Fraser River Lodge and Tall Timber in Agassiz. All meals are included along with spending time sturgeon fishing with an NHL star, a relaxing beer night, and auction.
