Expanded the Deferred Action for Childhood Ar-rivals, or DACA, program to people who came to this country before turning 16 years old and have been present since Jan. 1, 2010. Extended the period of DACA and work authorization from two years to three years.
Allowed parents of U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents who have been present in the country since Jan. 1, 2010, to request de-ferred action and employment authorization for three years through the new Deferred Action for Parents of Americans and Lawful Permanent Residents, or DAPA, program.
The North Texas Dream Team and the Dallas Hispanic Bar Association will provide experts in immigration matters to present information, including when the changes go into effect, and answer questions.

Safe Environment Program for Religious Education Students As part of our ongoing effort to help create and maintain a safe & secure environ-ment for our children & youth, the Diocese of Dallas mandates that our Religious
Education students be trained in child abuse prevention. Catechists will present the VIRTUS “Touching Safety” Program, which is an age-appropriate child sexual abuse prevention program for students in grades K – 12 in the month of February and March. We encourage parents to visit the VIRTUS website at www.virtus.org to get familiar with this program. Saint Thomas Aquinas (STA) will hold a Divorce Support Group that will begin on Thursday, March 5th at 7:00 pm. This confidential shar-
ing and support group is open to anyone who has experienced the pain
of a divorce or separation. The sessions will include a presentation and discussion on the topic of Catholic Annulment. The group will meet
each Thursday night in the Saint Margaret Room of STA for 16 weeks. To sign up

Ampliado la población elegible para el programa de Acción Diferida para los Llegados en la Infancia (DACA, por sus siglas en inglés) para personas que llegaron al país antes de cumplir los 16 años de edad y que han estado físicamente presentes en el país desde el 1 de enero del 2010 o antes.
Extendido el período de DACA y la autorización de empleo de dos años a tres años.

Programa de Ambiente Seguro para los Estudiantes de Educación Religiosa Como parte de nuestro esfuerzo para ayudar a
crear y a mantener un ambiente seguro y sano para nuestros niños y jóve-
nes, los estudiantes de Educación Religiosa serán entrenados en el área de prevención del abuso
de menores por mandatos de la Diócesis de Dallas. Catequistas presentarán el Programa de
VIRTUS “Seguridad con el Contacto”, cual es un programa de prevención del abuso sexual e
menores apropiado para la edad de estudiantes en los grados K – 12. Las presentaciones se
llevaran a cabo en el mes de Febrero y Marzo.
