In accordance with Boston Public Health regula-tions and out of abundance of caution, the Cathe-dral of the Holy Cross is notifying you that an indi-vidual who attended the [10:00 AM Mass at the Cathedral on Thursday, November 26 (Thanksgiving Day)] [9:30 AMMass in Spanish on Sunday, November 29] has tested positive for COVID-19.
With recognition of the Cathedral’s safety proto-cols for attendance at Mass, including all attendees wearing masks at all times and persons not of the same household maintaining a minimum of six feet of distance from one another, and with the under-standing that the individual was seated alone to-ward the back of the Cathedral and did not interact with other persons, there are no indications that the affected individual had close contact with any other person at the Mass.
Following Centers for Disease Control guidelines, persons who attended the Mass should monitor their health and contact their physician or health care provider if not feeling well or with regard to other concerns.
Please know that the Cathedral of the Holy Cross rigorously follows all public health safety protocols and directives for the protection and well-being of all who attend services at the Cathedral. 90-DAYS NOW – FOR YOUR PARISH It is at times like these our faith reminds us that we are nev-er truly alone, even as we face unprecedented chal-lenges as a parish community. Though we are not able to join together in the celebration of the Eucha-rist, we continue daily to pray for the health of you and your loved ones. As Advent begins next weekend, let us remember the less fortunate among us: the homeless, the disadvantaged, refugees, persons struggling and ignored by society, both here and abroad. The Child Jesus, whose birth we are preparing to celebrate, came to save all peoples of all generations; the kindness we show to "the least" among us is kindness we show to Him.
