Review & Submit

Example of the separation of two segments for Math Grade 6:

Response Capture

The connection indicator in the upper left corner of the Nextera Test Delivery System

changes from green to red if internet connectivity is lost.

Response Capture

If the connection is not restored before the student has completed testing:

Do NOT allow other students to test on the device, and quarantine the device in a secure

location until connection has been restored and the student is able to log back in to the test

and the responses are sent to Questar before other students test on that device.

RISE Question Sampler

Accessed through the Utah RISE Portal

Provided to help students, teachers, test administrators, and

technology coordinators prepare for the RISE Benchmark and

Summative assessments.

A great tool for helping anyone taking, administering, or supporting an

assessment to become familiar with the testing tools and navigation

of the Nextera Test Delivery System.

RISE Tools Have Changed

• On the RISE Assessment the tools

have changed and the Question

Sampler is your best friend.

• Equation Editor (EE) – when a

student opens the palette they have

to scroll to see all the different keys.

Expanding the palette can be helpful.

• Train students to recognize pi!

RISE Tools Have Changed

RISE Tools Have Changed

• The graph is a multi-segment tool.

• So if students plot the wrong point, tell them to keep going and close the shape.

• Then they can move the points and position them wherever they need too.
