The annual MSHSBCA Junior Showcase was a great success as well this year. There were 145 players from border to border represented. Over 90 coaches and scouts were there to evaluate our state talent. Thank you to Minnetonka HS and coach Paul Twenge for the use of their great facility and to Tink Larson, Dale Welter, Bruce Woitas, John Wilkens and all the coaches who helped out to make this event run so smoothly (except for the 60 yard dash =)

The annual John Wilkens Fall Clinic is right around the corner. The clinic will be held at the Ramada Plaza in Minneapolis (same place as last year) October 26th to 28th. Please share the information with your staff and bring them along to the clinic. The annual coaches social will take place after the Friday night sessions at 8:30 p.m.. We will hold our annual coaches meeting at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 27th.

On Saturday night, October 28th at 7:00 p.m. at the Delta Marriott (formerly the Ramada Plaza, the same place that we have always been.) we will welcome a new class to the Minnesota State High School Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame and also honor our association award winners. Check the website, www.mshsbca.org, for more details and Thank You to John Wilkens and his family for all of your work with our annual clinic.

The national conventions this year will be held in St. Louis, MO and Dallas, TX. The BCA will be held in St. Louis from November 29th to December 2nd. The ABCA will be held in Dallas from January 3rd to 6th, 2019. Please consider attending these annual conventions. These are also great opportunities to network with other coaches and learn from some of the best in our game.
