Appendix E: EITE activity group Appendix E is to be used to provide details if the site is part of an activity group

1. Relevant product relates to multiple sites in activity group. (required)

Fill out the table below in relation to the percentage of electricity used at each site in the activity group for the purpose of carrying out the EITE activity in the 2016-17 financial year.

The first row must be the site that is the subject of this application.

Exclude any sites where the EITE activity is only carried out in an ancillary way.

For a percentage greater than or equal to 80 per cent, you must state the total amount of liable electricity acquired for use at the site. For a percentage less than 80 per cent, you must state only the amount of liable electricity acquired for use in carrying out the EITE activity at the site.

Name of site

Is ≥80 per cent of the electricity used at the site used for the purpose of carrying on the EITE activity? (Respond ‘Yes’ or ’No’)

Amount of electricity used (MWh):

                  (ES)

Sum the amounts of electricity used at each site.

Subtotal (MWh)       (ET)

2. For the 2018 calendar year, do you expect the percentage of electricity (ES/ET) used to conduct the EITE activity at the site to be similar to the 2016-17 financial year (i.e. within 5 per cent)?

If yes, the electricity amounts used across the sites in 2016-17 will be used to determine the 2018 production amount for each relevant product that is referrable to the site.

If no, the electricity amounts you estimate for 2018 will be used to determine the 2018 production amount for each relevant product that is referrable to the site.

Yes Go to question 3

No Provide an explanation and a reasonable estimate of electricity amounts (ES) used to carry out the EITE activity at each site that will represent electricity use in 2018 below

3. Relevant product quantity.

Provide the total quantity of relevant product across all sites in the activity group for the 2017 year and an estimate for the 2018 year.

Relevant products for each EITE activity are listed in Appendix B: EITE activity summary.

The relevant product(s) that is identified in the application must meet the requirements specified in Division 3 of a Part in Schedule 6 of the Regulations.

The production amounts (actual and estimated) do NOT need to be audited. 2017 production is to be estimated if the application is submitted before the 2017 year is complete. The 2018 estimated production can represent the production levels used by the facility operators for planning purposes.

Ensure the unique code corresponds to the same relevant product for each site as part of the activity group. The unique code and relevant product should also match the number for the SP under question 40 of the Exemption Certificate form.

Definitions

For the purposes of this form:

ES Is a reasonable estimate of the following amounts of electricity:

(a) if 80 per cent or more of the electricity used at the site is used for the purpose of carrying out the activity—the amount of electricity (expressed in megawatt hours) acquired for use at the site; or

(b) if less than 80 per cent of the electricity used at the site is used for the purpose of carrying out the activity—the amount of electricity (expressed in megawatt hours) acquired for use in carrying out the activity.

ET Is the sum of all the estimated amounts of electricity (ES) for all of the sites in the activity group (expressed in megawatt hours) acquired for use in carrying out the activity.

PT Is the total amount or volume of the relevant product produced, or to be produced, from the EITE activity at all of the sites that are part of the same activity group
