COMPANY PHILOSOPHY – INDUSTRIAL OR AIR CONDITIONING ?

CF CHILLER FRIGORIFERI is well spcialized in process cooling application and air conditioning

system too.

General point for discussion:

a chiller for prcess cooling is generally working 24 hours per day, Saturday and Sunday

incluced. It works for cooling another machine so the chiller works at full load. The priority in

doing this application is:

a) the affidability a chiller with problem makes problem to the whole production of

the customer

b) the service a chiller in case of failure must be engoneered for a quick service

c) the efficiency it is a priority but after the point a and b above mentioned

A chiller for air conditioning instead is generally working 24 hours per day but just in summer

time, everything depends from the external temperature. In some months of the year the chiller

does not work at full load, some statistics say a chiller works generally at 70% of the full load.

That’s why in the air conditioning is wellknow some parameters as IPLV data which gives an

idea of the chiller efficiency during a time of one year.

We can then simply understand that a chiller for process cooling is much stronger and better

enginereed than air conditioning. Indeed a chiller for process can be substitute the air

condioning chiller, the viceversa is not possible (or there are many risk of damage)
