CHARLES FAZZINO
Searcys | The Gherkin30 St Mary Axe London EC3A 8EP
Thirty years ago Fazzino created 3D Pop Art. Following in the footsteps of Andy Warhol and influenced by his childhood memories, the pop-up books and games of his youth that have continued to supply an immense and inexhaustible source of inspiration.
Fazzino’s limited edition 3D Artworks are made using a hand - stenciling printmaking process known as silkscreen serigraphy. Each silkscreen print is printed several times on rag museum board and the individual pieces are cut out by hand. The silkscreen pieces are then layered using a silicone material, which gives Fazzino a great deal of flexibility in the layering process. Each piece is then hand finished with acrylic paint glitter and Swarovski crystals.
In his vibrant and intricate Limited Edition 3D Artworks, Charles Fazzino depicts a wide variety of subjects; from cityscapes across the world, playful scenes from different professions to tributes to the stars.
During his thirty-year career, Fazzino has exhibited in public institutions in over twenty different countries, and at festivals and events worldwide. His work is included in numerous international public and private collections, including; The Norman Rockwell Museum; The Museum of Art, Fort Lauderdale; National Art Museum of Sport; Baseball Hall of Fame Museum, and the private collections of Paul McCartney, Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, and Julia Roberts.
