Class Participation Grade
• Approximately 4 questions/lecture • Numerical Score for each Question is usually 50%
for participating and 50% for correctness • Each Lecture will be averaged to give an average
score for all the questions in a given lecture • The first week of lecture will be used as practice
and will not count towards the final participation grade.
• The scores from the six lowest scoring lectures, following week 1, will be dropped to allow for absences or other activities

Calculation of the Homework Grade
• Approximately 75 Assignments During the Course of the Semester – Grade for the Assignment is the Maximum Score
when Taking the Assignment – Due dates may be assigned. There will be no
extensions on due dates for any reason.
