Chemistry in the Oil Industry XV Chemistry: Enabling Efficient Technologies An International Symposium organised by the Royal Society of Chemistry Speciality Chemicals Sector and the European Oilfield Speciality Chemicals Association Manchester Conference Centre, UK 6th – 8th November 2017 EUROPEAN OILFIELD SPECIALITY CHEMICALS ASSOCIATION About the Symposium Welcome to the fifteenth Chemistry in the Oil Industry Symposium, organised by the Royal Society of Chemistry’s Speciality Chemicals Sector group with continued valued support from the European Oilfield Speciality Chemicals Association. The Symposium is a technical conference focussed on all aspects of the oil and gas industry where chemistry is the main focus and solutions via chemistry are sought. With the oil industry still coming to terms with the downturn, the emphasis now is on efficiencies and New Chemistry to enhance the profitability of new fields or to extend the economic life of mature wells. The industry’s responsibility to do this safely and with due concern for the environment is paramount. The theme for CITOI XV is Chemistry: Enabling Efficient Technologies. The Committee has received double the usual abstract submissions confirming industry and academic investment in chemistry solutions. We invite you to attend two days of high quality keynote speeches and oral presentations with the opportunity to network with peers. Exhibition and Poster Display - CITOI XV will also host an exhibition and themed poster display area on the 7th and 8th November within the catering area. Delegates will have ample opportunity between lecture sessions for individual discussions with poster authors and exhibitors offering relevant products and services. Location - Known as the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution, Manchester is one of the most dynamic and cosmopolitan cities in the UK. An integrated transport network makes Manchester accessible for both national and international visitors using Manchester Airport or the well-connected train, coach and motorway system to and from the rest of the UK. The Symposium venue, Manchester Conference Centre, is located just a short stroll from the Metrolink and a 10 minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly train station with regular, direct connections to Manchester Airport. Combined with the Pendulum Hotel, offering CITOI XV delegate room rates, there is also an affordable, adjacent multi-storey car park. Our Symposium dinner will take place in the Halle Suite of the 5 star Radisson Blu Edwardian Hotel, located in Manchester’s most celebrated building, the historic Free Trade Hall. Registration and Pricing - The delegate registration fee includes: attendance at the Symposium, information pack with fully searchable Symposium Proceedings on USB stick, morning and afternoon refreshments plus lunch during the symposium on 7th & 8th, Welcome Reception at the Manchester Conference Centre on 6th November, Cocktail Reception and 3 course Symposium Dinner at the Radisson Blu Edwardian, Manchester on 7th November.
