Chinese Teacher Workshop An Introducon to Weiqi(no cost) The ILEP Naonal Language Advisers provide support for Learning Languages as part of the Ministry of Educaon-funded professional pathways for teachers. Find out more at www.ilep.ac.nz and on www.ilep.ac.nz Weiqi is also called Go”, a game played with black and white stones on a board of 361 intersecons. Dr Jiwei Fu, Naonal Adviser for Chinese has invited Kevin Ge Liu, President of New Zealand GO Society to introduce the history and rules of Weiqi. You will also have a chance to have a go at playing it. This workshop is a great opportunity to get acquainted with a piece of tradional Chinese culture, which will also aract your studentsinterest.
