I’m a down-to-earth workaholic, career ori- ented, glamorous, figure conscious, adorable personality who would help any- one in need. 2. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? Really, I’m very happy and confident the way I am. So there is absolutely nothing I need to change. But, let me tell you, I learn every- day to improve myself. 3. If you could change one thing about your family, what would it be? We are one happy family, so no changes here again. But…let’s say I hope all of us have more leisure time together. 4. School? Royal Institute 5. Are you employed? I’m a model and actress. 6. What is your idea of perfect happi- ness? Perfect happiness is when you can smile and be happy together with your loved ones; no arguments, fights or misun- derstandings. 7. Are you religious? Yes. And being a Buddhist I do a lot of charity work; help the poor, small children, and I also medi- tate 8. Are you superstitious? No way. 9. Your ideal guy? Well, someone who is honest, trustworthy, loving, caring, also tall and fair. My guy should be able to understand me, give me priority…and keep me smiling. 10. Which living person do you most admire? My mother and my father – for the simple reason that they are there for me always. And they are very supportive of my career. 11. Which is your most treas- ured possession? My friends and family. 12. If you were marooned on a desert island, who would you like as your companion? My mother as I’m very attached to her 13. Your most embarrassing moment? It happened at an inter-school competition when I forgot my whole speech in the impromptu speech category, on stage, and I had to lie. saying I was sick. 14. Done anything daring? Yep, I sold free-given time tables at school with my best friend, when we were in Grade 3. 15. Your ideal vacation? Cape Town, in South Africa, with my family and best friends. I’ve been there before and I simply love the place. 16. What kind of music are you into? Pop and classics. 17. Favourite radio station: Yes FM. 18. Favourtie TV station: AXN. 19. What would you like to be born as in your next life? I don’t believe in rebirth. 20. Any major plans for the future? I am planning on establishing my own brand, where fashion is concerned, and my own production house. And I have plans to establish a standard model agency in Sri Lanka and I’m working on it. I t was an after- noon of orien- tal extravagan- za as First Glimpse launched their stunning saree collection at The Grand on Cathies Lane, in Melbourne, Australia, on Sunday, May 19th, 2013. Hosted by Sachith Fernando and Inoka Amarasekara, Oriental Extravaganza offered, over 350 guests, an after- noon of High Tea, music, giveaways and First Glimpse’s very elegant sarees. Since its inception, seven years ago, Dayangani Ramanayake has been offering some of the finest and extravagant sarees to the women of Melbourne. Her fashion show, Oriental Extravaganza, was a charitable event, with all proceeds going to ‘Big Smile,’ a charity dedicated to the welfare of rural schools in Sri Lanka. The charity, which Dayangani and her brother, Kumar Devapura of Tristar Apparells, launched in 2011, has already helped over six rural schools. Dayangani’s two daughters, Tess and Kavi, helped behind the scene, with the planning, etc . Former Singapore Airline Capt. Upali Ramanayake said that a lot of hard work was done at home with the girls, Tess and Kavi, and their close friends, to support this project in which turned out to be a very a very successful event in Melbourne.. The official coverage of the event was by Johann Jayasinha from (SNNI) and his team. They say it’s going to be the most exclusive beach party of the year, and it’s happening on Saturday, June 21st, 2013, at Hotel Sunset beach, Negombo, from 7.00 pm onwards. LIMITL- LESS is being described as the biggest Dance Music Festival to hit Negombo Beach. Pump up the volume and move to the rhythm of the beat! Fresh tracks in the mix to rock the night - a night when Deep House /Tech House /Minimal and Progressive House get together to deliver the ultimate bang. Yes, it’s time to hit the floor and party the night out! Dance your feet out under super power sounds, laser and pyro effects, with DJs Shiyam, Upul, Yayy Vibes, Dishan, Yass, Praveen Jay nd A-Jay in action. Things to look forward to: Free complimen- tary event T-shirts with every VIP reservation, free face painting, free glow bands, fire- works and many more… Ladies walk in free. Dress code: Beachwear. A mong the many restaurants that grace the Galle Face Hotel, the ‘Verandah’ offer guests a panoramic view of the Indian Ocean, the pool area and the hotel’s Patio garden. Elegantly situated among colonial architecture, the Verandah is defi- nitely the place where one could be mesmerized by the captivating ambi- ence, whilst discovering moments of tranquility. During dinner time, guests can opt to sit outdoors and tuck into a cool and relaxing meal – while enjoying the fresh air and cool breeze. The Verandah offers a wondrous spread of breakfast, lunch and din- ner buffets. Breakfast buffet is from 7.00 am to 10.00 am, lunch buffet, from 12.30 pm to 2.30 pm, and the dinner buffet, from 7.30 pm to 10.30 pm. And there’s a wide choice of menu offerings - from Sri Lankan to International cuisines. High Tea is yet another unique offering at the Verandah, and it starts from 4.00 pm to 6.00 pm, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The High Tea Buffet also offers 37 different types of canapies, which comprise of pastries, and an action station which includes pan- cakes with your favourite topping.
