Who Are They? Male & Female Teenagers aged 15+ who have an
interest in horror or thriller movies.

Questionnaire Results
Results and feedback showed us that this age group; Preferred typical horrors or (psychological) thrillers which involved a main character being a killer.
Liked (elements of the Slasher genre) when the murders were committed with the use of ordinary tools or weapons such as knives or chainsaws.
Were familiar Themes such as isolation, murder, the ‘unknown’, and stalking were common responses from the target audience.
Preferred watching it where the main characters in the films were teenagers.
Love suspense, cliff-hangers, red-herrings and twists at the end of the plot.
We asked a range of people of different ages (over 12yrs) whether they would be interested in watching this film, just by seeing the poster and reading the synopsis.
A large 68%that said yes were at least aged 14 and older.
The age group that were most likely to say no were those over 50.
Textual Analysis
The results from the questionnaire allowedus to do further research so we could meet the needsof our target audience in our film.
We did textual analysis’ on appropriate films such as;-The Shining 1980 (Kubrick)-Psycho 1960 (Hitchcock)-Texas Chainsaw Massacre 1974 (Hooper)-Halloween 1978 (Carpenter)
We were then able to identify the common codes andconventions of the genre and then imitate them in our movie.
