Dear Parishioners,
Merry Christmas! For many of us this is
a time of joy, family and friends. We
celebrate that Jesus is the reason for the
season. But, as you all know, not
everyone is as fortunate. The St. Vincent
de Paul ministry strives to bring joy to
those who need help for the basics - for food, for clothing, for
bus tickets, for beds, for help with rent and utilities, and, yes at
Christmas, for toys for the children. It is our honor and privilege
to do this. We are always looking for new members if you are
interested. Please let the Parish Office know. Thank you for
your support which enables us to make this happen. For
Thanksgiving we were able to help 24 clients with extra
assistance which included 10 boxes of food prepared by our CK
school families. Thank you to our school! For Christmas we
have plans to help 18 families which includes 3 families being
helped by Blanchet High School. Big thanks to
Blanchet! Another thank you goes to Zumiez who recently
donated warm coats, sweatshirts, hats and socks just in time for
the cold winter weather! This generous donation was shared by
many ministries including Mary's Place and St. Martin de Porres
as well as St. Vincent de Paul. We appreciate your continued
support. Please be sure to mark your red-edged Special
collection envelopes for St. Vincent de Paul. Unmarked
envelopes go in to the general collection. And, during this
Christmas season, please consider doing some of your shopping
at our local St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store on 135th &
Aurora. They have specials every day and are continually
adding new merchandise. All great deals and your patronage
supports St. Vincent de Paul! Wishing you and your family a
very Merry Christmas and a Joyous New Year!
P.S. One correction to the SVDP Annual Report Membership
List - Barbara Lamoureux is an Active Member. She was listed
as an Associate Member. Our apologies to her.

CALENDARS – 2017!
Yes. They are already in the mail! Following past tradition, Fr. Lyle will be collecting calendars again for the men in Monroe prison. They are so grateful in receiving them and it adds a lot to their “room”! Colorful calendars are excellent. NO wire spirals. NO wire spirals! If you would be so kind as to bring them to either the parish office or church sacristy, Fr. Lyle will pick them up with a prayer of gratitude! GOD BLESS YOU! (Mt 25/36). - (Fr. Lyle Konen, C.Ss.R., Sacred Heart Rectory, and former Chaplain at the Monroe Correction Center)
