From the Pastor’s Desk
The priests of the Diocese of Columbus will be joining Bishop Campbell for our biannual priest convocation this week. We will be meeting at Deer Creek State Park from Monday afternoon until Thursday afternoon. The goal of the convocation is to provide an opportunity for fellowship and to brush up on certain areas of priestly ministry. It is a time of study, prayer, and relaxation for my brother priests and me. Because Father Sylvester is not a priest of the Diocese of Columbus (he is a priest of the Diocese of Enugu in Nigeria), he is not obligated to attend the convocation. Moreover, his director at Nationwide Children’s Hospital requested he remain at work this week. He has graciously volunteered to celebrate the noon Mass on Tuesday and Thursday while I am away. However, the 9:00 a.m. School Mass and the noon Mass this Wednesday will have to be canceled. Please keep all the priests in your prayers this week, that our convocation might be a time of rest and renewal.

The Sisters’ Corner
The sisters will offer a retreat for children ages 7 to 13 this Saturday, October 31, from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. This will be an opportunity for our young people to learn more about their faith and enjoy time with the sisters. (This event is in Spanish.)

Most of the priests of the Diocese of Columbus will be at the upcoming Priest Convocation from Monday, October 26, to Thursday, October 29. For this reason, there will be no 9:00 a.m.
School Mass or 12:00 p.m. Mass on Wednesday, October 28. Aunt Hattie encourage everyone to purchase tickets for her special social event and fundraiser that will be held on Sunday, November 15! Tickets will be on sale after the English
Masses every weekend until Sunday, November 8. Tickets are $16 for adults and $9 for children. Raffle tickets will also be available. (This event is in English.) Please join the Knights of Columbus for a tasty Pancake Breakfast next Sunday, November 1, after the 8:00 a.m. and 10 a.m. Masses.
All are invited to a Mass in honor of our faithful departed on All Souls Day (Monday, November 2) at 7:00 p.m. This Mass
will be bilingual, and a bilingual rosary in the church will be offered at 6:30 p.m. that day as well. We will remember in a special way all of the parishioners of Christ the King who have passed away within the past twelve months. Also, feel free to write names of your deceased loved ones in our Book of the Dead throughout the month of November. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them.
Server Training will be held in the church on Saturday, November 7, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. This is for all young

Desde el Escritorio del Párroco
Los sacerdotes de la Diócesis de Columbus nos uniremos al Obispo Campbell para nuestra convocatoria bi-anual esta semana. Estaremos en Deer Creek State Park desde el lunes por la tarde hasta el jueves por la tarde. El objetivo de la convocatoria es fomentar el compañerismo y repasar ciertas áreas del ministerio sacerdotal. Es un tiempo de estudio, de oración y relajación para mis hermanos sacerdotes y yo. Strong men and women, we need your help! The school has purchased several truckloads of mulch for the playground.
