Having it all is not about striving for perfection, or about living our lives according to someone else’s standards

or expectations (we’ve done that for far too long).

It’s not about working ourselves to a state of exhaustion, spreading ourselves too thin, or trading inner peace and

contentment for outer trinkets of success.

Been there. Done that too.

Having it all simply means having access to all of yourself, in any moment you choose it, and in every

aspect of life that is important to you.

Go here to learn exactly how you too, can “Have it All”’

4 Questions with Christy whitman

C: how do you define your it and your all in your life?

Claire Zammit: early on I really pursued traditional measures of success I thought I should go after having accomplishment in my career and owning my own home

and having a relationship and achieved a lot of success early on. I was leading 50 women I had my own condo that was nearly paid off and I had a lot of things that looked good on the outside but there was only one problem I would lay awake at night just sobbing. I was really miserable and didn’t understand why. It was really confusing to me because I’ve done and achieved so many of the things I was “supposed to do” and I really made a decision that I was going to find out what all of this sadness and despair was about so I wouldn’t skip over it and what I discovered was that even though things looked good on the outside I felt invisible and unseen in my relationships and that even though I was successful I was supporting somebody else’s vision as opposed to giving my own gifts. And even though I had friends I was giving so much more than I was receiving in all the things relationships. Seeing the impact that transformed my own awareness of what would bring fulfillment and happiness. It’s not necessarily just accomplishment. And this is a lot of what I now teach in my work with women with feminine power I would say what a feminine success looks like a more authentic version of success is over the world matches your possibilities that you have the opportunity to become yourself and create who you are so you are living your purpose and how your calling. Your relationships marriage and have value you have confidence in your ability to create and manifest your deepest desires you have a really richly rewarding personal life where you feel a sense of belonging and you really have found your spot in the world. I would say all of those things are true about my life today. In terms of my amazing husband who I am married to, the work that I am doing empowering women and finding our wisdom, all of these things our outer expressions of that deeper possibility of my life I could sense but not necessarily see. I think that’s really what really brings fulfillment in life being able to actualize your creative, spiritual potentials, potentials in relationships, and create a field of belonging, connection, and contribution.

C: What is your core belief about yourself or the universe that allows you to have the experience of having it all?

Claire Zammit: it’s actually something that really shifted for me as part of that story. I look back and call that period My Dark Knight of the soul because I was so

depressed and disillusioned and I have done those things I was supposed to do exactly like you said and I felt powerless to create something different even though I had all of this power and strength I felt powerless to know how to get what was inside of me out and create a life that reflected that in spite of my best efforts but I made a commitment to really invest in developing myself and getting the best mentoring I could for the particular gifts that and it led me to leave Australia where I am originally from and go to California where he graduate school but I so could not find my way to that life I sensed was possible until one night by candlelight it was the darkest moment at that time I was afraid. Like ok I give up I surrender, I can’t create this from my mind with strategy and a power system that I had been steeped in and I surrendered to God the universe spirit and said okay I can’t do this what do I need to do? It’s like a mystical experience where I heard a voice that said Claire you have to absolutely believe that life is organizing around to success even though you don’t have any evidence for it and can’t necessarily feel it start making choices and taking actions as though you believe all of life is organized around your success. I think that is the core belief that everything changed in my life when I woke up the next morning I said okay what would I do I don’t feel like I am supported in my life because this is hard and it’s a sucky kind of time of despair and darkness I don’t feel like life is on my side. But okay what would I do if I absolutely believe that life was organizing around me to succeed in the greatest what would I do? Immediately I tapped into a different situation that I never had access to before it was really clear to me what I needed to do and I did it and have the courage to take risks and listen to knowing that opened up that shift and that’s what led me into the life I am living today.

C: When you are in a place of having it all what is that bottom line essence feeling for you?

Claire Zammit: I think it’s trust. And gratitude. It’s two things actually absolutely trust that there is a greater energy and intelligence in life that is positive that is

organizing around my success and supporting things to unfold that we can consciously aligned with so it’s knowing that the feeling that and feeling an incredible gratitude for that receiving that and taking it in and feeling the incredible support of life. I had an instant recently where I felt overwhelmed it was one-of-a-kind deepest experiences at the actual moment I turned 40 my whole body was flooded with this incredible feeling of gratitude. I was on an airplane by myself down the back looking down and I started crying because I felt so overwhelmed, so loved by the universe so deeply loved and so deeply supported and so incredibly grateful. I think I was thinking about that’s really the state of that sense of complete fullness and wholeness in the awareness of who we are and why we are here.

C: Can you offer one piece of advice to help them to get into that space of having it all?

Claire Zammit: so this is the essence of everything I have learned and discovered on this journey in a nutshell. It’s to really believe in the value of who you are

and what you have to give others and what you have to get the world even though you are an imperfect person. It’s to absolutely trust that life is organizing around your success even if you don’t feel it even if you don’t have any evidence for it and it’s to reach out to others for support. There is one thing I’ve really learned this is one thing we say in courses of feminine power is you can’t become yourself by yourself, and you need support from other people you need partnership from other people to really thrive. So the deep connection to yourself connection to life connection to others and in that you have everything that you need to realize your greatest possibility of your life.
