Having it all is not about striving for perfection, or about living our lives according to someone else’s standards

or expectations (we’ve done that for far too long).

It’s not about working ourselves to a state of exhaustion, spreading ourselves too thin, or trading inner peace and

contentment for outer trinkets of success.

Been there. Done that too.

Having it all simply means having access to all of yourself, in any moment you choose it, and in every

aspect of life that is important to you.

Go here to learn exactly how you too, can “Have it All”’

4 Questions With christy WhitMan

c: how do you define your it and your all in your life?

Marcia Wieder: I realize what’s important to me and maybe us in our 30s and 40s is different than what’s available to us when we hit midlife and beyond. The

blessing to be able to wake up in the morning and ask important questions like what is it that I really want what is it that’s really important to me how do I want this day in there for the rest of my life to be? It’s such a privilege to be able to have the luxury to be even asked that question. Having it all to me is about being with people that I love you love me. Practicing the art of being more loving and generous and really truly enjoying every moment of life. I was thinking recently of my grandma Fritzy and she would say nothing ages you faster than stinking thinking. And more and more for me The simple practice that I do it’s called every day enlightenment and it’s basically more days and minutes in the light connected to people I love what I love enjoying what makes me happy and lights me up, less time in the dark my fears doubts worries and concerns or being hijacked by the news for other people’s doubts and fears. And then this practice of living a life of integrity which is more time in the light. It’s a simple answer having it all for me is about loving and being loved and bringing my gift to the world every single day not just about me being on Oprah or on a big stage but in conversations like this where we connect at a heart level. I want more of these moments.

c: What is your core belief about yourself or the universe that allows you to have the experience of having it all?

Marcia Wieder: for me consciousness is all about choice in the goes back to what I just said about every day enlightenment. Every endeavor and communication

broke the day I have an opportunity to choose. Life is going to do what it does and it really comes down to my perspective and my relationship to it. A lot of people talk about intention that will direct your life and have clear intentions but for me intention and integrity go together. So if I say one thing into another that’s a source of great suffering but if in the practice I am living in

alignment with my heart and soul that’s really my daily practice. The practice that goes back to the first thing that I mentioned of checking in and seeing what’s really true moment by moment because that integrity practice can become black or white and I think we were created to create and it’s our birthright to create and live a life of joy above and abundance. As I remember that and I practice that I say yes to what’s true for me and no thank you to what’s not. I am a real advocate that if I say no more to what’s no longer true what no longer feeds us nurtures us lights us makes us happy, no more to things that are out of integrity to our heart and soul based on who we are right now and as we say no more we can say know what to really matters to us. We can really transform how we are living our lives so someday soon when you open your calendar hopefully what you and I and we will see scheduled are more activities that are moving us forward on our dreams that evolve the expression of our heart and soul. That’s what I believe living on purpose living in integrity and living a dream come true life is really about. I can tell if I am on track with my heart and soul and integrity and all of these words we are using by my level of joy so really having it all for me is measured by my level of joy. When I hear myself laughing out loud belly laughing like when I fell off of the sled as a kid coming down a snowy drift just laughing and giggling it lights my heart up and reminds me I am on track.

c: When you are in a place of having it all what is that bottom line essence feeling for you?

Marcia Wieder: think it’s mostly joy. I will say that in the last few years and this is very vulnerable to talk about I had begun to witness and feel my own

beauty. And never felt like a beautiful woman before and I see how different I look and I’m getting incredible reflection back from friends and loved one and dates I am looking for my soul mate so if you are watching this and you know the perfect man to under 5-10 for me who is on a path for awakening and has a vision he’s passionate about send them my way. Really there is something new emerging and it really has come from the opening of my heart for a long time for the first half of my life I was driven my worry. I never felt like I was enough for I could ever be seen and I tried really hard and even though I achieved a certain level of success it wasn’t really fulfilling to me at a certain level. And when I really began to heal that won’t and get to the essence of who I really am just say no to what was no longer serving me including everybody else’s expectations and story and business model because what I love is quality of life and joy and friends and

abundance and beauty as I said no more but was no longer true I was able to focus on what was more important to me show up in my body and being as I started to see myself as a more beautiful woman which is very exciting. And then it was also motivation to do more of it. Oh I like how I see myself away like how people are responding to me over I like how I look and feel let me do more of that and that may do less of what stresses me out. The emptiness of the concept of having it all I think it becomes a holy grail and we strive for something without knowing who we are much less of what we really want. So for me having it all starts with knowing who we are and what is truly important to you asking challenging questions like how do I really want my life to be and then asking the follow-up question which is the integrity practice which is what am I willing to do about it?

c: Can you offer one piece of advice to help them to get into that space of having it all?

Marcia Wieder: my work after 30 years with dream University has now morphed into a graduate program and we call it a Meaning Institute. There was a

study done in the Hartford business review which makes that distinction between happiness and fulfillment. And happiness is when we focus on ourselves which is a good thing but true fulfillment comes and more meaning comes when we are bringing our life in service. So I would say sit down and do a little assessment what are your true gifts? And how can you share them in the world today? A real simple way. So if your gift is your beauty take a walk around the block and share your beauty or create beauty in your home are bring something beautiful to somebody else. If one of your gift is that you see people in a way really set the intention put it into practice over the next few days every conversation I have with someone I’m going to really look in their eyes and have them see me seeing them. I’m a big advocate of practices any time there is a new behavior I should say in new skill you want to develop or an old behavior you want to change you create a practice so practice is you catch yourself in the act doing it the old way you center and bring your hands to your heart and take some props and focus on trying something new and different so if we know we want to develop muscle we go to the gym three times a week if we want to develop greater inner peace we meditate every day. So the question is what are you wanting to develop or what is the great skill that you have? And practice bringing it out more into the world. To live on purpose requires three things one is that you have a spiritual practice

so you can further deeper wisdom and ego. Secondly is that you know what unique and special about you formed by everything the losses you grieve and the wind to celebrate. And the third most importantly is to take what’s unique and special about you, your gifts and bring them into service in the world. That’s how I believe we live a more meaningful life and it’s through feeling meaningful that I believe we will come to know that yes we really can have it all.
