Dear Graduates,
Congratulations!
It is always important to take the time to mark such important events in your lives such as your graduation from Immaculate Heart of Mary Grammar School with a deep sense of gratitude and pride. As you know, I just came on the scene last July and it has been my privilege to journey with you this past year to this day. I want to express my sin-cerest best wishes for your future. I am also very grateful for your warm welcome to me as the new pastor here at IHM. As you move on to high school, I hope you take with you that discipline and in-quisitiveness that you expressed here at IHM. Strive to do the best that you can, al-ways learning and always being patient with yourself. In fact, always continue to be
yourself because that is who God wants you to be. Stay close to Jesus, our Lord, for he is always ready to help out his friends. Be sure to go to Church on Sunday and grow in your faith. You will find that such a steady connection to the Lord will be so life-giving, life-transforming. Indeed, you will happily discover that God has a plan for you!
From time to time come back and visit IHM School. The door will be open for you and your families. We want to hear all about your new adventures. We want to share your successes with those that follow you. Be assured of my prayers for you and your proud families. May God bless you all of your days. Peace,

IHM HIGH SCHOOL OF RELIGION GRADUATION
The IHM High School of Religion celebrated the graduation of Seniors with Fr. Lynch, the HSOR Teach-
ing Team, parents, HSOR alumnae and current students. This year the HSOR continued its tradition of
faith, fun and community through Prayer & Pizza, lively discussions, guest speakers, game nights, ser-
vice activities, Centering Prayer, an Annual T-shirt Design & Giveaway and Open Gym. The HSOR is
open to all high school students interested in being members of a vibrant faith community.

Dear Friends in the Lord:
It is time again for our annual special offering for the Church in Latin America. Although the people are faith-filled, the needs in this region of the world are great – and often seem insurmounta-ble. The distance between rural areas & deteri-orated roads make it difficult for some commu-nities to have Mass celebrated regularly. Lan-guage barriers can make catechetical materials difficult to produce. We are called to share our faith with all, and this collection is a pro-phetic and bold way to do it.
For the past fifty years, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has helped 25 countries in Central & South America to con-front challenges to the faith. With the support of all the Catholic faithful, we have funded activ-ities that promote an encounter with Jesus Christ so that the faithful can become mission-ary disciples.
On the same weekend, June 22 and 23, we are also conducting the Catholic Home Mis-sions Appeal. The Church has great needs around the world and the United States is no exception. Your support of this collection will help our neighbors strengthen the Church at home to continue to provide essential pastoral outreach in home mission dioceses.
I am counting on your usual generosity again this year. Your support for each of these collections is vital. When you contribute, you become an instrument of peace and join with other Catholics in solidarity with the needy.
