Mass on All Soul’s Day

On Monday, November 2, Mass will be celebrated at 9:00AM at the Mother Church. Here at Our Lady of the Assumption we offer the opportunity to remember at Holy Mass our beloved dead who have “fallen asleep in the Lord.”

Remembrance envelopes will be placed before the altar and our deceased loved ones will be remembered at every Mass. Remembrance envelopes have been included in the November offertory envelope packet.

For those who do not receive envelopes, we make available” remembrance envelopes” at the vestibules of the churches. The names of our loved ones who have died will be placed before the altar and be remembered at Mass on All Soul’s Day and throughout the month of November.

OCTOBER 25, 2015

The Social Action Committee needs

your help

Every year, at Thanksgiving and Easter, our Church gives out a total of over 450 food baskets to 6 local organizations who then distribute to needy families in the area.

This year, more than ever, we need your help with food or a financial donations to help us meet this objective. Our goal for this Thanksgiving is to distribute 275 baskets.

Today, Sunday, October 25th after all masses, members of the Committee will be handing out to all the parishioners grocery bags with a list of food items needed for this years food basket program.

We encourage you to donate these non-perishable items listed as our shelves in the food pantry do not come close to filling these baskets with over 4000 items needed. Should you consider a financial donation instead, checks may be made out to the Social Action Committee. We ask that the food bags be returned to the rear of either church by November 8th.

Volunteers are also needed to sort, count and fill the bas-kets. Anyone interested in helping may contact John Reilly at 203- 387 - 1051.

Thank you from your Social Action Committee...
