JUNE 19, 2016
Dear Friends:
I write to thank those of you who have made a sacrificial gift to our Capital Maintenance Fund. Your generosity will help us complete the designated projects by summer’s end.
The major work is the stripping of the terrazzo floors in the sanctuary, nave and sacristies. As of this date, the results are fantastic. One half of the nave is completed as well as the sanctuary. Work progresses on the remaining flooring in the nave and sacristies. Hopefully, we can complete this major project by the end of June. The main entrance ceil-ing at the Center Road church will be painted and the exte-rior lighting will be replaced with energy efficient products. A few minor items will be addressed as needed.
We take great pride in our physical plant and, more im-portantly, in our reverent and enthusiastic worship. I wish to thank all who contribute their time and talent to our weekend celebrations of Holy Mass. To our choirs, under the direction of Dr. Keith Smolinski, and our deacons, Spe-cial Ministers of the Eucharist, lector, altar servers, flower committee, ushers—kudos Sister Dorellen and her cate-chists and staff continue to fashion an excellent educational programs. The Rite of Christian Initiation staff, Engaged Preparation team, Ladies Guild, Social Action Committee, Knights of Columbus and Health Ministry team contribute so much to our faith community. How grateful I am for all they do.
I humbly ask that if you have not made a monetary gift to
the 2016 Maintenance Fund, you consider doing so this
week. Now in the third week of our drive, we have real-
ized half of our goal. Every gift,- no matter the amount–
will bring this undertaking to a successful conclusion.
Once again, I appreciate all you do for your parish. I pledge my continued priestly service to you.
Your friend,
If you love me you will hold to my words and
my Father will love you and will come to you.
Where does God come to you. If God is com-
ing to you and asking you to discern a religious vocation.
