In the second collection today, we are supporting Pope Francis in his charitable works. The Peter’s Pence Col-lection is taken up worldwide to support our brothers and sisters on the margins of society, including victims of war, oppression, and natural disasters. In this Jubilee Year of Mercy, the collection is an opportunity to join with Pope Francis and be a witness of charity to our suffering brothers and sisters. Please be generous in today’s collec-tion.

Come discover the plan that will transform your work, your marriage, your family, your community…

your life! This fall, the Archbishop Harry J. Flynn Catechetical Insti-tute will begin another two-year course at The Saint Paul Seminary campus. Taught by some of the best instructors in the Twin Cities, such as Bishop Andrew Cozzens, Jeff Cavins, Deacon Joe Michalak, Fr. John Klockeman, Dr. Bill Stevenson, Dr. Todd Flanders, Christina Smith and more, the program follows the four pillars of the Catechism of the Catholic Church and will make sense of all things Catholic, deepen your faith, and lay out the roadmap to heaven. The classes are divided into four eleven-week modules and meet on Monday evenings, 7 to 9 pm, with two Saturday morning formative sessions per module. Applications are now being accepted through July 15, 2016, for the class beginning in September. For more information and an ap-plication to become part of the Class of St. Teresa of Cal-cutta, call (651) 962-5028 or visitwww.CIstudent.com.

July 4th—There will not be a Mass on July 4th. Fr. Gregory

Dear Parishioners, We had our 1st Tennis Wednesday this week. I can’t tell you how it went because my bulletin column needs to be in before then. I am running the same column I wrote 2 weeks ago to invite parish children again. As someone rightly noted, it is good for kids to see their priests out having fun. AND it’s good for a priest to have fun! And so we’ll have fun to-gether as I and my body try to remember from my high school days how to play tennis. St. Sabastian, patron saint of athletes, pray for us! Fr. Gregory

As an encourage-ment for us to pray for them, there will be an opportunity to learn more about each one of these priests. Look for infor-mation about them in the vestibule at Ascension and at the table in the narthex at St. Bernard and feel free to take home the information that will be available about them. And please do pray for these wonderful new priests!”

can commit to 1 hour per week or can commit to substitute when a regular adorer cannot make it,

please call the coordinator at your parish. At Ascension please call Jan at 952-412-4900 to

volunteer to get more information about adoration and how it works, as well as the benefits.

PAPER DRIVE The KC Paper Drive trailer will be at the Ascension

parking lot from July 8th through July 17th

YEAR OF MERCY You are the visible face of the invisible Father, of the God who manifests his power above all by for-giveness and mercy: let the Church be your visible face in the world, its Lord risen and gloried. You willed that your ministers would also be clothed in weakness in order that they may feel compassion for those in ignorance and error: let everyone who approaches them feel sought after, loved, and forgiv-en by God.
