Women’s Bible Study – Please join us at 7:00pm in the parlor for new Bible study of Genesis, entitled Broken and Blessed, How God Used One Imperfect Family to Change the World, written by Jessica LaGrone, Methodist pastor and teacher. Wednesday Visitation Team – meets the second Wednesday of each month at noon. Men’s Emmaus Group meets at 11:30am in the Fellowship Hall. Wednesday Night Activities 6:00pm - Childcare provided Discipleship: Going Deeper, a long term study. They meet every other week in the church parlor. The rose on the altar in the sanctuary this morning is in honor of the birth of Grady Stockton Felder, son of Michael & Heather Felder, grandson of Terry & Meridith Watson, & great grandson of Joy Still, who was born on March 31st. Check out the info forms placed around the church, or ask an usher for one, to sign up to join a Foyer Group, take a road trip to the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force in Pooler, GA, or shop at the UMCMarket and earn money for HUMC. ALL are invited… young, old, families, lonely…EVERYONE!!! There is NO cost and NO need to make a reservation. So, join us at 6PM on Tuesday, April 22nd at the Highlands Community Building. Lay Readers – If you would like to read scripture at the 10:50 service please contact Sonja in the church office. The North Georgia Children’s Chorus - On Sunday, April 27, the North Georgia Children’s Chorus will present its fifth annual concert here at HUMC at 3PM. The Chorus will also sing for worship at 10:50 that Sunday morning. This talented group of children and youth from 6 to 16 years old is under the direction of Ruth Purcell and will present a varied and entertaining program of both sacred and secular music. Sunday School ~ Elementary aged children are invited to meet each Sunday morning at 9:45am in the children’s Sunday School room downstairs with Luke. 3,4,5 Group ~ Will meet on Sunday, May 4th at 5:30pm. Hope you will join us for dinner and an exciting time geared just to YOU!!! Tay and Tamara Bronaugh lead this group in fellowship and meaningful fun! The Community After School Program ~ Is open to all children in grades K-5 Monday-Wednesday, and grades 4-7 on Thursdays. Children’s Worship Packets: They look like pencil holders. See an usher or greeter to help locate one. A Nursery is provided Sunday mornings for children birth through 4 years of age starting at 8:30am downstairs. Please see an usher or greeter for help locating the nursery. Sunday School ~ The youth are doing a study titled, "The 13 Most Important Bible Lessons for Teenagers.” Youth, grades 6-12 are invited to join us each Sunday at 9:45 for Sunday School. SYF (Sunday Youth Fellowship) ~High School youth (grades 9-12) are invited for dinner and a study each Sunday evening from 5:30-7pm. We begin with dinner at 5:30. Each Sunday we have a short lesson followed by discussion. Wednesday Youth - All youth, grades 6-12 are invited each Wednesday after school. Youth are then invited to stay for dinner at 5:15. Food Pantry - Items most needed: rice, canned fruit, black beans, juices, tomato products, & bread. Anyone in need, either temporarily or regularly, may visit the Food Pantry on Mondays from 3:30 – 5:30pm. The Pantry is located behind HUMC on 3rd Street. Homeless Outreach Sample size or hotel shampoos and soap. These will be given to area homeless shelters.Life Challenge - Life Challenge is a Christian Residential Center created to help people with life controlling issues. We support this program by providing gently-used clothing, household items, and small furniture for their Resale Shop in Dillsboro. Eye Glasses - Glasses are for multiple mission projectsBibles - are collected for Kairos Prison MinistryPrinter Cartridges - Collected for Highlands School. Please bring in a Ziploc bag.Can Tabs - collected for the Ronald McDonald HouseBox Tops for Education - Collected for the Highlands SchoolBlank Note Cards - Used for special projects
